Participants of the Xbox Insider Program will soon have the opportunity to personalize their home screen layouts, by pinning preferred games and concealing built-in applications.
Starting this week, updates will initially be released to members of the Xbox Insider groups – Alpha Skip-Ahead and Alpha – first. These members will soon have the ability to pin up to three favorite games or apps onto their dashboard. This means that even after playing other games more frequently, these pinned items will remain visible instead of disappearing.
As an avid Xbox user, I’m thrilled about the upcoming features! Xbox Insiders will now have the power to minimize system app visibility, decluttering the Home screen and keeping it game-centric. Furthermore, the Xbox team is diligently working on a feature that gives us control over the maximum number of tiles displayed simultaneously, ensuring a more streamlined gaming experience.
Of course, those participating in the Xbox Insider Program are typically asked to provide their thoughts and insights on the tested features.
For some time now, users of Xbox consoles like the Series X|S have frequently expressed concerns about the large amount of space taken by tiles on the Home screen. Through various adjustments made over the years, there have been significant improvements in both the efficiency and aesthetics of this feature.
This modification could significantly alter the Home screen’s appearance, making it seem less cluttered and more minimalistic. I wonder if this change will be adjusted based on user comments or suggestions.
It typically takes between several weeks and several months for updates to reach all Xbox users, so we’ll simply need to be patient and observe when it starts being widely accessible to us.
