Red Dead Redemption 2 is in the Works for Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X/S – Rumour

It was unlikely that a game as demanding in terms of technology and graphics like “Red Dead Redemption 2” could function smoothly on the outdated hardware of the Nintendo Switch, making it an unrealistic prospect for Rockstar to attempt such a port. However, with the arrival of the new Nintendo Switch 2, which boasts impressive power, there’s now a strong possibility that Rockstar’s game may be coming to the platform.

According to a report from Gamereactor, which relies on unidentified sources with knowledge of Rockstar’s plans, there are rumors that Red Dead Redemption 2 is being developed for the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. Furthermore, it’s said that this classic Wild West game may also be under development for native versions on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S consoles. However, no specific release dates or official announcements have been given yet. The report hints at potential upgrades for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions, focusing on possible graphical and performance enhancements.

According to a recent leak, there have been rumors that Rockstar Games has been secretly developing a modern version of Grand Theft Auto 4, as well as remastering Max Payne 3 to complement the ongoing development of the Max Payne 1 and 2 Remake at Remedy Entertainment.

Of course, the release date for Grand Theft Auto 6 is set for May 26 of next year, exclusively on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
