Injustice 3 is NetherRealm’s Next Title – Rumor

After NetherRealm Studios unveiled Mortal Kombat 1: Definitive Edition, it seems likely that the fighting game’s support phase has concluded around 20 months post-release. However, fans are not overly thrilled, given Ed Boon’s promise of extended support. Yet, there remains a buzz of anticipation about what new project is on the horizon.

Even though WB Games stated they’ll primarily focus on major titles like Mortal Kombat in 2024, there are rumors that a new Injustice game might be planned instead. MultiVersus insider, often correct with leaks before the game was shut down, tweeted, “Shutting down MultiVersus is an injustice, then restarting it all over again is another injustice. Leaving me without any leaks is yet another injustice.

After that, they posted another tweet saying, “3.” Connecting the dots – or, in this case, 2 and 1 – suggests a possible Injustice.

Although NetherRealm hasn’t explicitly confirmed it yet, it’s not entirely unexpected that they might revisit the DC-themed fighting game series, given the success of Injustice 2 which was released in 2017. Keep an eye out for further developments on this front!
