FBC: Firebreak Trailer Showcases Path Tracing and DLSS 4 Performance on PC

In the lineup from Remedy Entertainment, the game Firebreak (FBC) is among those that will feature Multi Frame Generation and Path Tracing support. With Nvidia announcing upcoming games with DLSS 4’s capabilities, they unveiled a new trailer demonstrating both features. You can watch the trailer here.

Approximately 17 seconds into the video, the distinct effect of Path Tracing becomes evident through the clear reflection of a “Detour” sign in a puddle nearby. The reflection appears more detailed, even capturing intricate details such as the surrounding railing. Additionally, the shadows cast by lighting are particularly noteworthy, appearing softer and more natural due to the use of Path Tracing.

In the following frame, the fire’s glow highlights both the ominous pillar and its inhabitants in a lifelike manner. However, keep in mind that gameplay performance might differ depending on your GeForce RTX 5090 at 4K resolution and maximum settings. Your experience may not match the one shown here.

On June 17th, Firebreak debuts on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC platforms. As of now, the minimum and recommended system requirements for PC have not been disclosed; however, Remedy assures us that they won’t be as demanding as those for Alan Wake 2.
