Tom Cruise Shares Heartwarming Plans for Perfect Father’s Day

Tom Cruise isn’t always looking for an impossible mission. 

Speaking of which, the actor who played Top Gun, and is a father to Isabella Cruise (32) and Connor Cruise (30), both born from his marriage with Nicole Kidman, as well as Suri Cruise (19) from his union with Katie Holmes, took to social media to express his heartfelt Father’s Day sentiments.

At the Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning red carpet premiere in New York City on May 18, Tom shared with TopMob News that he was all about enjoying himself while making movies, taking on exciting adventures, and having a fantastic time.

In the concluding eighth movie of a thrilling 30-year-old action series, the performer is still dazed by the jaw-dropping acrobatics he performed both mid-air and submerged.

He told TopMob, “Once you begin working on it and considering it, these things are quite unpredictable.” Regarding the underwater sequence and its intricacies, he found it extremely difficult to figure out a solution for it. The 62-year-old said, “I pilot various aircraft such as planes, jets, aerobatic models, and helicopters. The movie trailers don’t accurately represent the action on the big screen. It’s hard for anyone to imagine or comprehend what these viewers are in store for.

As he put it, “I’m taking you for a ride.”

Despite generally maintaining a low profile regarding his personal affairs, Tom has been seen on rare occasions with his grown children, such as the time they attended a Florida Panthers versus Tampa Bay Lightning hockey match in May, accompanied by Isabella and Connor.

The star of Risky Business, who has accompanied his son to numerous sports events throughout their shared history, finds fatherhood to be among his most cherished endeavors.

In an interview with Esquire back in 2010, he expressed that he would always remember the moment he became a father. It’s challenging to put into words – that feeling of responsibility, the longing to bring such happiness. The insight: There’s nothing more crucial than this.

On that very first night, he went on explaining, “I found myself fixated on Bella, unable to look away. Every second seemed too long as I watched over her, my heart connecting instantly. It’s likely I kept her awake with all the gazing.

However, it hasn’t been an entirely smooth ride, particularly under the public gaze. The fame he gained came with intrusive scrutiny that extended even to his private life. As Tom shared with Playboy in 2012, “At some point regarding many things, I just decide, ‘You know what? I don’t wish to spend my time on this.’

As a dedicated follower, I find myself sharing this story: In the midst of my divorce from my first wife, Mimi Rogers, I crossed paths with the captivating Nicole Kidman during the filming of “Days of Thunder” in early 1990. Once my divorce was finalized, I found myself drawn to her and, as fate would have it, I asked for her hand in marriage. We exchanged vows that very year on Christmas Eve.

In 1994, Tom expressed to Vanity Fair that it felt like meeting his soul mate, a person who truly comprehends him. It was as if a brand-new chapter in his life had begun.

2001 saw the heart-wrenching announcement of their divorce, a news I received in a formal statement, attributing their separation to the challenges posed by our careers that always seemed to pull us in opposite directions. Whether or not Nicole concurred with this reasoning remains uncertain, but it’s clear that the distance was too much for our hearts to bear.

In late 2002, as I shared with Vanity Fair, it’s only now that I truly comprehend [the reasons for our separation]. Back then, I was unable to grasp it.

In a prior conversation with the media, his former partner expressed, “She understands the reason, and so do I. She is the mother of my kids, and I hope she thrives. Moving forward is what one does, and I speak from experience when I say it.

Tom and Nicole adopted their eldest child, Isabella, when she was born on Dec. 22, 1992.

Initially, Tom was petrified when he first changed a diaper. In 1994, he confessed to VF that while they occasionally discussed children, work always seemed to get in the way. However, they eventually wondered, “When will the right time ever come?” That’s how their discussion began. Later in 2007, she confided in VF that they chose adoption following her miscarriage. “From the moment Tom and I got married,” she explained, “I had a strong desire to have children. Unfortunately, we lost a baby early on, which was incredibly distressing. It was then that we decided to adopt Bella.

She noted, “There’s quite a bit of history behind that, as I don’t often discuss many subjects. Perhaps someday the tale will come to light.

Isabella, a make-up and hair artist who graduated from London’s Delamar Academy, resides in England alongside her spouse, Max Parker.

People were surprised that the bride’s parents weren’t present at their 2015 wedding held at The Dorchester Hotel in London.

She responded to Daily Mail Online by stating, “Absolutely, they are my parents.” When asked about her relationship with Tom and Nicole, she asserted that anyone claiming otherwise is not telling the truth.

Additionally, only a handful of close friends were present, and unfortunately, neither of the groom’s parents attended. Instead, his mother, Beverly Parker, chose to stay away due to wanting to avoid a “media spectacle.” She expressed that the couple is “lovely” and shared her happiness for them both, stating that they are very content.

Max shared with the media that, while others might describe his wife as avoiding the limelight, it was actually a peculiar circumstance for those around them rather than something they experienced directly.

Simultaneously, insiders informed People that Tom endorsed Max, found it acceptable to be absent, and even covered the wedding expenses; on the other hand, Nicole was simply relieved to see her daughter content.

Connor joined our family as a newborn on January 17, 1995, through adoption. Professionally, he is a skilled musician and DJ, and it’s said that he currently resides in Miami.

Nicole got married to Keith Urban back in 2006, and they are proud parents of two daughters: Sunday Rose, born on July 7, 2008, and Faith Margaret, born through a gestational surrogate on Dec. 28, 2010.

In conversation with HELLO!, she expressed her wish that Connor and Isabella would reside with them, but acknowledged the limitations, as they ultimately decided to live with their dad following the divorce. It is worth noting that they were present at the Kidman-Urban wedding in Australia.

In a conversation back in 2014, Nicole praised Nicole, Isabella, and Connor as individuals who are generous, kind, and diligent. These qualities, she expressed fondly, are traits she appreciates seeing in her offspring.

Years passed, and she admitted that her elder children followed Scientology, just as their father did. However, it’s important to note that this didn’t create a rift in their relationship; the matter of faith didn’t significantly impact their connection.

In an interview with Australia’s Who in 2018, the Oscar winner stated, “These individuals are grown-ups. They have the capacity to think independently. They’ve chosen to follow Scientology, and as their mother, it’s my role to accept and love them for who they are.

And, like his sister, Connor has never said a cross word about his mom.

He expressed his affection to Australia’s Woman’s Day back in 2014 during a visit for a festival gig. “Regardless of others’ opinions, I feel my bond with my mom is strong. I care deeply for her, and my family is incredibly important to me,” he shared.

He also loved music, he added, “but the family comes before everything else.”

In 2005, Tom exhibited a friendly and open demeanor when he began dating a former cast member of “Dawson’s Creek.” He enthusiastically shared with Oprah Winfrey and her audience that he had fallen in love with the actress.

On November 18, 2006, their grand wedding took place at the Odescalchi Castle, a 15th-century structure in Bracciano, Italy. The couple was accompanied by Suri, Connor, and Bella, as well as celebrities such as the Beckhams, Jennifer Lopez and her then-husband Marc Anthony, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, Brooke Shields and her husband Chris Henchy.

Despite the constant snapping of paparazzi, Katie revealed just a few instances of Suri on social media throughout the years. However, they were also spotted at various sports events and have embarked on numerous trips to Broadway to watch a show.

In 2017, she shared with Town & Country that her daughter is the most cherished individual in her life. At present, ensuring her upbringing takes precedence over everything else in her work. She feels incredibly fortunate to be where she is, but nothing brings her more joy than witnessing her child’s success.

Perhaps Suri hasn’t developed an affinity for acting just yet, but she did lend her voice to the opening number “Blue Moon” in the romantic comedy film “Alone Together“, which was inspired by her mother during the pandemic and where she both starred and directed. Katie expressed to Glamour in March 2023 that she hopes her friend continues to contribute to her films. She frequently requests her participation.
