1. Zack Hudson and Harry Mitchell spark car crash horror

Zack requests a loan from Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara) to finance his departure, but Ravi advises him cautiously about Nicola Mitchell (Laura Doddington). He shares that Nicola has recently asked Ravi to transfer a corpse on her behalf.

Zack confides in Linda Carter (Kellie Bright), who convinces him to go to the police.

Zack’s data resulted in Nicola being taken into custody. Upon observing Harry’s response, Zack revealed the truth about Barney’s paternity to him, hoping that Harry would encourage Zack to protect Barney instead.

However, once Nicola gets out, Harry confides in Teddy Mitchell (Roland Manookian) that he isn’t Barney’s father; instead, it’s Zack.

Nicola tries to deny it, but is forced to come clean under pressure from Teddy.

Teddy and Nicola have a tough argument, yet they both get taken aback when Harry discloses that Zack intends to depart along with Barney.

In a more dramatic turn of events, Harry resorts to extreme actions to prevent Zack, and he ends up placing him in the trunk of his vehicle, then swiftly departs from Walford at high speed.

Concerned about my son’s activities, I caught up with Nigel, Billy, and Honey as they were heading to the cinema and asked for a ride so I could keep an eye on Harry.

Teddy aims to intercept Harry before his scheme unfolds, but right as it seems Teddy has everything under control, a vehicle swerves off the road and plunges into the lake!

2. Vicki Fowler takes action as those trapped fight for survival

Following the unfortunate incident, I found myself rushing to the riverside, hoping against hope to help rescue those still trapped inside the overturned vehicle.

Or, more colloquially:

After that awful accident, I was right there at the river’s edge, doing my best to assist in rescuing anyone still stuck within the wreckage.

With word spreading about the latest happenings, Vicki Fowler (Alice Haig) decides to act independently and goes straight to No.1 to disclose a hidden fact.

After Vicki’s explosion left Barney speechless, there remains the question: Has she ever revealed to him that Zack could be his biological child?

As a dramatic scenario unfolds, Linda and Phil can be found with Vicki and Barney by their side. However, the question remains: Who’s stuck in the submerged vehicle at the lake, and whether they’ll manage to escape unharmed?

3. Phil Mitchell tries to make amends with disappointed Nigel Bates

Phil finds it puzzling that Nigel appears upset about not celebrating his birthday, given that Nigel had expressed earlier he didn’t want any commotion around the event.

Following a discussion with Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter), as well as Honey and Alfie, Phil inquires the reason behind Nigel’s distress.

Later, Phil suggests a belated birthday celebration, and Nigel asks to go to the cinema.

But with Teddy interrupting these plans, how will Nigel be caught up in the terrifying events?

4. Avani Nandra-Hart shares a kiss with Barney Mitchell

Online, Avani is bombarded with hurtful comments after it’s revealed that she was involved with Joel Marshall (Max Murray), causing a stir in the public eye.

Barney tries to support her, but Avani gets defensive and storms off when he mentions Joel.

Barney later finds a distressed Avani in the playground and tries to help her again.

He soothes her about the unpleasant messages, however, Nicola discovers them and believes that Avani might be misguiding Barney.

Or in a more conversational tone:
He tries to console her over those mean messages, but Nicola catches wind of them and thinks Avani could be leading Barney down the wrong path.

In this scenario, when Barney clarifies the reason behind Avani’s distress, Nicola encourages Avani with an inspiring speech, and Avani is moved by Barney’s show of empathy.

Later on, Avani asks Barney to come over to her home, however, she becomes irritated when Barney misunderstands the situation.

Ravi spots the altercation and gives Barney some sage advice, leading the teens to make amends.

As Avani kisses Barney, is this the start of a blossoming new romance?
