FBI Season 7 Finale Promises Doomsday Inside Job and Shocked Fans

The upcoming 2025 TV schedule indicates that Season 7 of FBI is nearing its conclusion. Initially, one agent left the team at the start of this season, and now, as the finale, titled “A New Day,” approaches, there’s a possibility that 26 Fed could be infiltrated by double agents. The first sneak peek has sparked worries about Jubal and Isobel in particular, and the comments from Jeremy Sisto and Alana De La Garza haven’t provided any reassurance! When I chatted with the FBI cast members, they shared insights into what viewers can anticipate from the final episode of this spring season and why it’s been a significant development over time.

As reported by CBS, the finale set to air on May 20 (with a streaming option available the next day with a Paramount+ subscription) begins with Jubal just managing to avoid an attack on a covert FBI office. This revelation exposes the Bureau’s infiltration by a dangerous terrorist group. Throughout New York City, our heroes will be left guessing who they can trust within their field office. The promo hints that Jubal might be falsely accused of betraying the FBI, while Isobel delivers stern words to someone, hopefully not Jubal!

In other words, just how significant is the situation for “A New Day”, being the last episode of FBI this spring? To get a sense of it, I put that same query to the actors, and Jeremy Sisto responded with some insight.

It seems as though the concept has been a recurring topic since the start of the series, given that the JOC plays a significant role in the narrative. Many writers have suggested episodes involving undercover villains within the agency, and we never knew who they were. With so many pitch meetings discussing various approaches to this idea, I believe they managed to execute it convincingly in a way that felt authentic.

It seems like the concept of the antagonists invading our territory has been a buzz for quite some time now, but come Season 7’s finale, we’ll finally witness this intriguing plot unfold. I’m eager to observe if the tightly-knit group of agents who normally stand by each other without a second thought will start questioning the allegiances of their peers. Honestly, I don’t foresee Maggie or OA harboring any suspicions towards one another, but the teasers hint that Jubal might find himself in a tricky situation. Sisto added:

It’s undeniably worrying if insiders within the agency might be influenced, but it’s also a time when our audience feels strongly connected to us. Showing how such an organization could potentially fall due to underhanded schemes seems like something that will keep viewers riveted to their sofas.

Fans of the FBI franchise might find themselves captivated, given that Tuesday night will see the finales of both FBI: International and FBI: Most Wanted airing consecutively with FBI. Although we can’t predict a joyful conclusion for the agents from the two shows that have been cancelled, it seems that the original series is gearing up for some thrilling events. (The FBI has already been renewed for Season 9.)

Regarding Isobel, the initial sneak peeks for the Season 7 finale suggest she’s not in the best shape. Although Alana De La Garza didn’t reveal all the surprises in store for the climactic episode, she did hint at some anticipations viewers might have during the storyline. Previously from Law & Order, Alana shared her thoughts about what fans may be curious to know throughout their viewing experience.

They can hardly contain their excitement because this production is unlike anything our team has ever encountered or read. It’s jam-packed with surprises and unexpected twists, leaving everyone equally amazed. We couldn’t believe it ourselves when we first came across the script! I assure you, this will be an exhilarating ride for the audience as they follow along with us, wondering: “What on earth are they up to? Will they make it through?” This is going to be a thrilling adventure for everyone involved and I can’t wait for fans to join us on this journey.

The long-awaited Season 7 finale of FBI is almost here! You can catch it live on CBS or stream it through Paramount+. The episode titled “A New Day” will air on May 20, as usual, at 8 p.m. ET in the drama’s timeslot. This is the final Tuesday night for FBI, and it promises a full three hours of the franchise. In the autumn, the FBI will be back for its 8th season and it has a new time slot in CBS’ TV schedule. Unlike its usual 8 p.m. ET slot on Tuesdays, fresh episodes will now air on Mondays at 9 p.m. ET, preceding CIA, a new spinoff featuring Tom Ellis from Lucifer. We’ll have to wait and see if any characters from FBI: International or FBI: Most Wanted join the main series after their finales, but one thing is certain – FBI will be returning for more!
