Natalia Bryant can feel time moving—but Taylor Swift is right there with her.

Indeed, the Grammy award-winner unexpectedly reappeared on TikTok to congratulate Natalia on her graduation from the University of Southern California. He appreciated a video she posted, showcasing herself wearing a graduation gown, which caught his attention.

In the May 19 video, Natalia, the eldest daughter of Vanessa Bryant and the late Kobe Bryant, is seen with three friends, hugging them tightly as they harmonize to Taylor Swift’s “Nothing New.” The lyrics she lip-synchs are, “Can a person truly understand everything at 18, yet nothing at 22? Will you still value me when I’m no longer new?

Taylor recently engaged with a video on TikTok, marking her first action since wrapping up her Eras Tour in December, following nearly two years of touring life.

Without a doubt, Swift fans swiftly picked up on the action, as one user commented on Natalia’s video, “TAYLOR APPROVED THIS! Such a sweet indication of life.” Another user merely stated, “Mom is active once more.

It’s perfectly understandable that Taylor made an appearance again, given the occasion was Natalia’s graduation. Keep in mind, the entire Kobe clan is known to be huge fans of Taylor Swift – a trait that Natalia claims she has inherited from her parents.

In a chat with The Rundown host, Erin Lim Rhodes, at the Revolve Festival in 2024, Natalia shared that both of her parents indeed agree to this statement. Interestingly, she disclosed that she managed to preserve her initial Taylor Swift concert t-shirt from all those years ago and it’s still with her.

Before his tragic helicopter accident in 2020, which unfortunately took the life of my beloved idol Kobe and his precious 13-year-old daughter Gianna, as well as seven other souls, I’ve come to know that he found inspiration in Taylor’s music.

The basketball legend emphasized during an interview on “The Jordan Harbinger Show” in 2019 that it’s crucial to pay attention to those who excel significantly. It’s worth noting that Taylor has been dominating his field for an extended period.

Kobe went on to say, “Whether you appreciate her music or not, pay attention to what she accomplishes. It’s astonishing! Repeating such feats is almost unimaginable. That’s why I strive to learn as much as possible from examples like hers.

When Vanessa went to the Eras Tour in August 2023 with Natalia and their daughters Bianka (8 years old) and Capri (5 years old), she found a special way to involve Kobe by wearing a denim jacket adorned with his picture on the back.

Following the concert, Vanessa wrote on social media, “We love you @taylorswift.”
