Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment Features “Many Secrets,” More Enemies Than Ever

The new video from Nintendo’s Creator’s Voice series has been released, highlighting one of the major Switch 2 exclusives coming this year – “Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity”. Continuing on from Omega Force’s Musou-style games, it tells the story of Princess Zelda joining forces with King Rauru and the four mysterious Sages to battle in the Imprisonment War against Ganondorf.

Absolutely, players have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of Hyrule at that specific time, as confirmed by Koei Tecmo producer Ryota Matsushita. Along the way, they’ll uncover more about the enigmatic Sages wearing masks and many other hidden secrets scattered throughout.

As a dedicated fan, I can’t help but echo Matsushita’s enthusiasm over the enhancements in Switch 2’s hardware. One aspect that truly stands out is its ability to accommodate a multitude of enemies on-screen, significantly boosting the immersiveness and adrenaline rush during battle scenes. Meanwhile, Yosuke Hayashi, the head honcho at AAA Games studio, hinted at potential improvements in frame rates compared to the initial Switch, although they didn’t explicitly confirm whether this includes 120 FPS even in handheld mode.

The game titled “Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment” hasn’t specified a launch date yet, but it will be available this coming winter season. On the other hand, Nintendo Switch 2 is set to debut on June 5th with a price tag of $449.99.
