It’s been officially verified by Cole Hauser himself that a Yellowstone spin-off focused on his character, Rip Wheeler, is indeed in the works, putting to rest various speculations that have lingered for quite some time.

Although Paramount hasn’t made an official announcement about the spin-off, reports suggest the title is Dutton Ranch, but according to Hauser, this isn’t accurate.

“Well, first of all, it’s not Dutton Ranch,” Hauser told Fox News. “That’s not the name of it.”

He didn’t reveal its name, but he provided a glimpse of what’s happening behind the scenes: “We’ll likely continue with our usual strategies as we have for the past seven years.

“Kelly [Reilly] and I going and working our asses off trying to create something special.”

Towards the end of last year, it was announced that Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser would be returning to portray Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler respectively, in an upcoming Yellowstone sequel. The project is said to be spearheaded by the original franchise’s creator, Taylor Sheridan.

As a devoted fan, I’ve been keeping my fingers crossed about the possibility of a spin-off, and Hauser himself hinted at it last year when he shared with People, “The voice of America has spoken, and they still can’t get enough of our show. Fingers crossed that we can keep gracing their living rooms and continue to entertain them as we have for the past seven years.

As a die-hard Yellowstone fan, I’ve got to admit that we’re not exactly breaking new ground with this upcoming spin-off, The Madison, given that we’ve already churned out two prequels, 1883 and 1923, and another contemporary one is on the horizon. But hey, with Michelle Pfeiffer in the mix, who am I to complain?

As a die-hard movie buff, I can hardly contain my excitement as the Yellowstone universe broadens yet again, leaving me eagerly wondering about the captivating tales the writers are about to weave!
