Here is an overview of the game, via Hamster:

Alongside the existing modes such as “Original Mode,” “High Score Mode,” and “Caravan Mode” found in the Arcade Archives series, the new release Arcade Archives 2 Ridge Racer will also introduce a fresh addition called the “Time Attack Mode.

In “Time Trial Mode,” you challenge others to finish the game as swiftly as possible. The emphasis is on speed, not the points or score earned during the gameplay.

Additionally, functionality has been significantly enhanced.

Instead of having only a single save point, multiple save locations are now available. Additionally, there’s a rewind function enabling players to restart gameplay if needed, and a quick load option for those eager to jump right into the action.

Additionally, we’ve incorporated Virtual Reality and Rec Room (VRR) technology, enhancing the authenticity of playing the classic arcade game.

Experience timeless arcade games from a bygone age, now boasting enhanced fun factor and improved usability in the updated version known as Arcade Archives 2.

Ridge Racer is a racing game released by NAMCO (Bandai Namco Entertainment) in 1993.
