Kourtney Kardashian’s Shocking Parenting Choice: No Tylenol or Ibuprofen for Her Kids!

Kourtney Kardashian isn’t keeping up with the norm.

Recently, the Kardashian star opened up about how she handles it when her children fall ill. In case you missed it, she is a mother to Mason Disick (15), Penelope Disick (12), and Reign Disick (10) with ex Scott Disick. Additionally, she is married to Travis Barker, who also has son Rocky (18 months). Travis is the father of Landon Barker (21) and Alabama Barker (20) as well, and he is a stepfather to Atiana De La Hoya (26).

She expressed on Khloe Kardashian’s podcast “Khloe in Wonderland” (May 21 episode) that living authentically isn’t about conforming to anyone or anything, but rather embracing one’s true self. Additionally, she prefers to nurture her children’s fevers naturally instead of administering Tylenol or ibuprofen – a choice that reflects her desire to stick with what feels genuine to her.

Her motivation to challenge the norm originated from the unique dynamics that her family had developed throughout the years.

Kourtney noted that once she began therapy, she occasionally questioned our methods and how we operated as a group. She enjoys going against conventional norms.

In fact, her thinking outside the box goes beyond the confines of her family.

She expressed, “I apply this to everything,” she said. “Sometimes, I ponder about the educational system, asking myself ‘What is the purpose of children attending school?’ Indeed, it seems so outdated.

Instead of sending her the usual videos of successful individuals without conventional education, her 46-year-old child occasionally shares such clips with her.

Kourtney considered for a moment, “Alright, so what’s our objective?” She decided, “If we want to homeschool, let’s go for it.

After all, she and Travis are learning as they go.

Kourtney mentioned that she cherishes her stepmom role because she doesn’t feel responsible for disciplining. Instead, she and Travis have given each other the freedom to discuss issues, with him handling the more challenging aspects. Kourtney offers guidance or strives to be a positive influence.

She went on to say, “There are times when I’m struck by the difficulty of merging families. Yet, even on challenging days, there’s an overwhelming amount of love present. This experience feels profound and filled with depth.

In the year 2022, Kourtney invited her son Mason, along with Travis and his daughter Alabama, for a joint visit to Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights.

Atiana posed as the Bride of Frankenstein to Reign’s Frankenstein during the spooky outing.

Kourtney’s child, Penelope, donned a devilish outfit while the group ventured to the Los Angeles immersive pumpkin extravaganza known as Nights of the Jack.

During their “Nights of the Jack” escapade, Alabama noticed Travis hoisting Penelope up on his shoulders while they shared a tender moment.

During their initial joint vacation in Deer Valley, Utah, in April 2021, Atiana chose to coordinate with Kourtney by wearing identical winter clothing.
