In an unprecedented team-up, The Lethal Guardian and The Monarch of Titans are uniting in a legendary partnership for all time. Toho International and Marvel Comics are partnering up for a groundbreaking crossover event titled “Godzilla Obliterates the Marvel Multiverse“, which is a five-issue series that builds upon individual issues where Godzilla fought various Marvel heroes, such as Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, X-Men, and Avengers. However, unlike before when fans only saw Godzilla take on individual heroes, the entire Marvel Universe will now be confronting Godzilla’s fury. Marvel Comics and Toho have shared new insights into the second issue of this crossover, where we see Godzilla forming a bond with the Venom symbiote.

For August’s issue #2 of “Godzilla vs. Marvel Universe” penned by Gerry Duggan and Javier Garron, the previews hint at an alliance between Godzilla and Venom. The primary cover by Mark Brooks illustrates that Venom now possesses Godzilla. Additionally, there are covers from Andrea Sorrentino and Stonehouse, along with an Action Figure Variant Cover by John Tyler Christopher showcasing King Ghidorah as Godzilla’s arch-nemesis. Moreover, Dave Wachter carries on the series’ Marvelized Variant Covers, presenting spine-tingling blends of Godzilla and Marvel heroes, such as Ghost-Rider-Zilla in this edition.

In April’s “Godzilla Vs. Spider-Man”, we saw the King of Monsters take on the role previously held by Venom, which isn’t a first for Marvel and Godzilla fans. This story unfolded post-Spider-Man’s return with the alien black suit from Battleworld during Secret Wars. A sonic attack from Godzilla caused the symbiote to leave Spider-Man, finding its new home in Godzilla instead. Spider-Man managed to halt “Godzilla Venom” from wreaking havoc across New York City. However, even after separating, the symbiote retained some of Godzilla’s powers.

In the movie “Godzilla Vs. Spider-Man,” there was another unexpected event. Eddie Brock formed an alliance with Venom once more, but this time, the symbiote gained the combined abilities of both Spider-Man and Godzilla. After their union, the merged being declared, “We… Are… God Venom!
