JoJo Siwa Sparks Romance Rumors with Chris Hughes: What’s the Real Story?

Only good karma is coming for JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes. 

Despite whispers suggesting a new romance between them, the former contestant of Celebrity Big Brother UK couldn’t contain her enthusiasm for Chris, expressing that their current relationship is thriving wonderfully.

She enthusiastically shared with Keltie Knight from TopMob News during the grand opening of Universal’s Epic Universe on May 21st, that Christopher is her preferred subject for conversation. She later clarified, “I should have said he’s my favorite person to discuss, not a thing.

In another part of the conversation, the interviewee, who was 22 years old, displayed a picture of Chris on her phone to Keltie. This image prompted Keltie from TopMob News to exclaim, “That’s a forehead kiss!” (This can be rephrased as: During the interview, the 22-year-old showed Keltie a photo of Chris on her phone, causing Keltie from TopMob News to comment, “That looks like a forehead kiss!”)

JoJo’s playful comments regarding the 32-year-old individual were made not long after they fueled dating speculation by sharing an affectionate, public display of affection (PDA) on their Instagram account.

On May 20th, Chris posted multiple pictures showing him and JoJo snuggled up together on a couch. In the description, he expressed how “the last seven days have been simply charming.

JoJo, on her end, too, posted an Instagram update showcasing her and Chris’ relationship, regardless of its current state. Notably, one picture also shows that Chris had a meeting with JoJo’s previous dance instructor, Abby Lee Miller, as they posed alongside the famous ‘Dance Moms’ personality.

JoJo expressed her joy in her May 21st post, saying that her birthday week this year was exceptionally enchanting. It was filled with surprises, quality time with family, performances, relaxation, laughter, love, smiles, and even some heartfelt tears with deep meaning. She wouldn’t change a thing about it, finding it to be absolutely beautiful.

At the wrap party for the British reality show where JoJo and Chris were first introduced, Kath Ebbs, JoJo’s former partner, confirmed that their relationship with the dancer had ended.

“I was dumped at the after-party,” Kath said in an April TikTok, “With Chris in the next room.”

Absolutely, Kath, who previously acknowledged their past relationship with JoJo in January, expressed being thoroughly taken aback by the breakup.

Kath shared that she was informed about mixed emotions towards her and added that they came to understand in their home that she wasn’t who they desired to share the upcoming time with. She went on to say that the separation made her feel embarrassed.

17-year-old JoJo Siwa found Aug. 1, 2020, to be a wonderful day for unveiling the identity of her boyfriend, who surpassed her admiration for Patrick Dempsey from Grey’s Anatomy and Zac Efron.

But by that November, the pair were no longer in harmony. 

Siwa defended her former partner, Mark, on Instagram, stating he doesn’t deserve harsh treatment. She believes he deserves encouragement instead. You may not know about the joy, laughter, and happiness shared between them during their relationship, or how they are both content now. They mutually agreed that it’s best for them to no longer be in a romantic relationship, but that’s all there is to it.

Initially, a friendship blossomed between Siwa and Kylie Prew during a 2020 cruise. However, their relationship took a more significant turn exactly one year later when Siwa announced on Instagram in February 2021 that he could now refer to this remarkable individual as his girlfriend.

Siwa acknowledged that her girlfriend played a crucial role in helping her reveal her authentic self. Already having created content with Pride House, a group of LGBTQ+ TikTok creators, and a video of herself dancing to Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way,” the reality TV star was hesitant about posting a picture wearing her “Best Gay Cousin Ever” shirt.

In her conversation on The Tonight Show, Siwa explained that she said something like, “I was thinking about sharing this photo on my Reels story,” to which she received very supportive feedback. Her friend essentially said, “Go for it!” And so, she agreed and followed through with her plan.

Despite living together (“It now seems so obvious that it was a mistake,” Siwa confessed during the Call Her Daddy podcast in April 2024), they parted ways in October of the same year, coming together for one last dance in 2022.

It’s confusing to me how you can tell someone you care for them deeply and then disappear the next day, only to post accusations about us seeking attention and showering affection excessively on social media. I just don’t understand.

Furthermore, it was Siwa who first shared their relationship with the public, whereas Mills sought approval prior to sharing any hints of their romance. Moreover, Mills emphasized, “I have the messages as proof, so beware if you try to challenge me on this.

It can be reasonably assumed that Avery Cyrus, who was briefly linked with Siwa in 2022, hasn’t yet reached the pinnacle of her career.

Three months ago, Ebbs announced that they had decided to part ways at the wrap-up party for Celebrity Big Brother UK, where I have been a dedicated follower.

In a TikTok post from April 2025, I shared that there seemed to be mixed emotions, and I left it up to them to interpret as they saw fit. Additionally, I mentioned that during our time together, they had come to understand that I was not the one they desired to share their future with.

However, Siwa maintained that the situation was not interchangeable for everyone, even though she shared a strong bond with her housemate Chris Hughes.

During the filming process, I found myself detached from everyone I know, freeing myself from external judgments and distractions. It was then that I sat with myself and truly recognized aspects of my life that I shouldn’t have tolerated in the first place, but now, I understand that they were no longer acceptable to me.
