There’s a lot of curiosity among fans about what stories from Lee Child’s Jack Reacher novels will be adapted for Season 4 of Reacher. Despite the show being renewed, no one involved in production has shared details yet about which novel will inspire the new season, and there’s been no news on any additional casting. Production on Reacher is currently paused while they film the upcoming Neagley spinoff series, but it seems like things are set to kick off for the main series soon.
This week, Alan Ritchson, who plays the lead character in Reacher, shared some insights about the people he’s collaborated with and the adventures he’s had since joining Amazon’s successful series on his Instagram. At a few instances in that post, Ritchson subtly suggested that production for Reacher Season 4 might be starting soon.
In his post, Ritchson declared that Season 4 will be the most physically demanding one so far. He’s all set and ready for it!
Later in the same communication, Ritchson hinted that filming for the upcoming season would start soon, expressing it as “Season 4 is just about to kick off.” Furthermore, he added a tantalizing hint that Season 4 might surpass all previous seasons with “Could Season 4 be the best one yet?
Although filming for Reacher Season 4 hasn’t begun as of now, Ritchson is actively participating in the shooting of the Neagley spinoff, with co-star Maria Sten.
What Book Is Reacher Season 4 Based On?
To date, there’s been no official word on which Reacher novel will be selected for the upcoming season. The first three seasons were based on Lee Child’s books, specifically “The Killing Floor”, “Bad Luck and Trouble”, and “Persuader”.
Ritchson publicly expressed his interest in transforming the 1999 novel “Die Trying,” the second installment of the Jack Reacher series, into an adaptation.
As a fan myself, I can’t help but express my eagerness to witness the transformation of “Die Trying” into a screen adaptation. So far, there have been numerous discussions about whether it should or shouldn’t happen. Time will tell what the future has in store. Regardless, I’m determined to make it happen if given the chance.
In Die Trying, Reacher finds himself and an unfamiliar woman abducted, handcuffed in the back of a moving vehicle, as he navigates the challenge of uncovering the reason behind their capture. This new predicament sets Reacher in an unusual setting compared to his first three seasons, and at the same time, distancing him slightly from his dearest confidants.
