Diddy

Kid Cudi is expressing his gratitude.

Following his court appearance at the federal sex trafficking trial involving Sean “Diddy” Combs, the rapper known as Kid Cudi (real name Scott Mescudi) expressed gratitude to his supporters via a posted message.

In a recent post on X (previously known as Twitter), Mescudi expressed his gratitude by saying, “I’ve noticed all the affection and encouragement being shown, and I simply want to express my heartfelt thanks. Many people have been reaching out to me over the past week, just checking in—and today was no exception.

Reflecting on how much it means to him when people speak kindly, the 41-year-old acknowledged feeling a sense of relief at having concluded this phase of his life.

“This is a stressful situation,” Mescudi said. “I’m glad it’s behind me.”

Concluding his message, he added, “I love y’all, man. Big love.”

Previously, Mescudi testified in New York about an alleged trespassing incident that happened during his romantic involvement with Cassie Ventura between 2011 and 2012, which coincided with her tumultuous, intermittent relationship with Combs over the past decade.

A rapper claimed that Combs (who denies accusations of racketeering, sex trafficking, and transporting for prostitution) burst into his home in 2011 upon learning about his relationship with Ventura.

As a devoted admirer, I recount an encounter I had with a 55-year-old individual, after the “Day ‘N’ Nite” rapper accused him of unlawful entry. In response to my inquiry, I claim he provided a chilling reply.

According to NBC News, Mescudi responded by saying, “Hey there, what’s going on?” and the individual replied, “I’m here, waiting for you.”

Or more casually:
Mescudi asked the person, “What’s happening?”, and they said, “I’m here, hanging out.

Upon his arrival back home, Mescudi simply stated that only the police were present at his house. Yet, he claimed that the security cameras seemed to have been relocated, his pet dog was confined to the bathroom, and some of the presents on the counter appeared to have been opened up.

Combs has not publicly addressed the alleged break-in.

In early 2012, Drake’s collaborators, Mescudi and Ventura (aged 38), decided to leave their positions – a move they attributed to the behavior allegedly displayed by Combs, as testified by the “Me & U” singer in court.

During her May 14th testimony, as reported by NBC News, Ventura stated that there was an overwhelming doubt about continuing their relationship because of too much uncertainty. She also mentioned that Sean had threatened them both with harm.

For more revelations from Combs’ ongoing trial, keep reading.

In a reminiscence of an event, Scott Mescudi, better known as Kid Cudi, spoke about a discussion he had with Sean Combs (also known as Diddy) in 2012, not long after his car had been on fire. The musician behind “Day ‘n’ Night” claimed that Combs and some of his acquaintances broke into Cudi’s house in December 2011, following news about Cudi’s brief relationship with Cassie Ventura, who used to be associated with Bad Boy Records, the label founded by Combs.

Following the arson of Mescudi’s car in January 2012, an incident he attributed to Combs, Mescudi described a subsequent encounter they had in a hotel meeting room in Los Angeles. According to him, Combs was standing by the window with his hands clasped behind his back, resembling a Marvel villain.

The 41-year-old testified, “It was only him and myself in the room. We went over the entire tale of how Cassie and I began dating and why we stopped. He kept emphasizing ‘You were with my girlfriend,’ to which I responded, ‘She informed me you had split up and I believed her word.’

He remained composed and gave me water not once but twice,” he added. “It was strange, his tranquility made me uneasy. Eventually, Cassie arrived. I was disappointed to learn that she returned to him. Essentially, she told me that we fell in love, circumstances just unfolded this way.

During her five-day testimony earlier this month, Ventura detailed instances of alleged abuse by Combs. She mentioned that following his comment about causing harm to them both, she decided to end her relationship with Mescudi.

Following their conversation in the L.A. hotel conference room, before matters escalated, they stood up and exchanged a handshake.

As I held onto him, a question crossed my mind: “So, what’s the plan for my vehicle?” I inquired. He feigned ignorance, saying, “I don’t understand your concern,” and then added, “Hang on, are we good here?” To which I responded, “Well, you accidentally destroyed my car.

Mescudi shared insight into two incidents, which he blames Combs for, during his testimony.

In December 2011, the musician known as “The Pursuit of Happiness” claimed that he received a call from Combs, following reports that Combs, along with his companions, had supposedly entered the musician’s home uninvited. This incident occurred after news surfaced about the musician’s romantic involvement with Ventura, who was dating Combs intermittently between 2007 and 2018.

In court, Mescudi stated, “He asked me, ‘How are things?’ To which I replied, ‘Hey, is this your uninvited intrusion into my home?’ He responded, ‘Yes, I’ve been waiting for you.’

While he said he wanted to “fight” Combs, he decided not to since he wasn’t sure who was with him.

In February, Mescudi’s vehicle burst into flames as a result of a Molotov cocktail that was discovered in the driver’s seat, approximately 45 minutes before he reached home.

Previously, Ventura claimed in a lawsuit she later settled with Combs in 2023 that he had threatened to destroy Mescudi’s car when he found out about their relationship. The suit stated, “Shortly after this, Kid Cudi’s car mysteriously caught fire in his driveway.

On May 20, as day seven of Combs’ trial concluded, the rapper delivered a message to everyone present in the courtroom.

As the court wrapped up for the day, he declared, ‘I love you all,’ to everyone present, according to People. In a quieter voice, he also said, ‘Yep, that’s love.’

After making his statement, Combs conversed with a woman in the audience, implying his son, Justin Combs (aged 31), by saying, “Could you kindly convey to Justin that I’m thinking about him.

On May 20th, Regina Ventura stated under oath that Diddy (Combs) had warned her in 2011 that he might disclose intimate videos involving his daughter Cassie Ventura, following the start of her relationship with Mescudi.

In the courtroom, I shared that I had been taken aback, almost to the point of illness, when I encountered the sex tape. The thought of it being used against my child was beyond my comprehension. This man demanded $20,000, and the reason behind his demand was their relationship with Scott Mescudi.

She claimed that she and her spouse, Rodrick Ventura, borrowed against their home’s equity in order to acquire the necessary funds. Furthermore, she stated that this was the sole means available for them to secure the money.

As for why Combs demanded the lump sum?

She informed the prosecutor that he was upset, as he had given her money but she had been seen with someone else.

During his testimony, David James disclosed details about Combs’ luggage, revealing approximately 25 to 30 pill containers. Among these bottles, he mentioned finding some with the image of the former President, Barack Obama.

In the court records obtained by NBC News, the former aide stated that among several pills, there was one shaped like a former U.S. President’s likeness, specifically referring to President Barack Obama.

As a devoted follower, I’m sharing James’ revelation about Combs. He disclosed that Combs always had at least $10,000 in cash, pain relievers like Advil and Tylenol, Viagra for enhancing performance, and pills to boost his sperm count, all stored in his Louis Vuitton bag. Furthermore, James claimed that Combs also carried Percocet and ecstasy, hidden away.

In the course of my testimony before the jury, I stated that James Combs always kept a substantial amount of cash, approximately $10,000, in his overnight bag. This collection also included common medications like Advil and Tylenol, as well as Viagra and pills to boost sperm count.

James further claimed that a substance believed to be Percocet and ecstasy was found in Combs’ bag, an assertion backed by his ex-assistant who declared they had personally observed Combs consuming it.

The prosecution offered a peek into the rapper’s room at the Park Hyatt hotel in New York, where he was apprehended on September 16th.

The photos submitted by Homeland Security Special Agent Yasin Binda, who provided testimony on the findings, depicted various items such as baby oil and Astroglide lubricant stored in Ziploc bags, five bottles of baby oil found in the bathtub, two additional bottles of lubricant kept in a drawer, two containers filled with a powdery substance, and $9,000 in cash.

As per Binda’s report, the substances discovered within the prescription container proved to be both ketamine and a combination of ketamine and MDMA when tested.

A close friend of Ventura’s stated on May 19th that she directly observed Combs physically harming Ventura during their vacation in Jamaica, as well as at a home he had rented in the Hollywood Hills.

Kerry Morgan stated that her 17-year long friendship with Ventura concluded following an incident at his apartment involving Combs in 2018. According to NBC News, she was listening to music when Combs approached from behind, tightened his grip around her neck, leaving marks on her neck, and struck her on the head with a wooden hanger. Cassie was in the bathroom during this incident, which occurred behind Morgan’s right ear.

In the course of the conversation, it was revealed that she had engaged a legal representative (a lawyer), yet chose not to initiate a court case, instead opting for a confidentiality agreement (NDA) which earned her a payment of $30,000.

According to Morgan’s testimony, it has been silent between us since then, as my last conversation with Sean occurred on the evening of the incident, and the last time I encountered Cassie was when I agreed to the Non-Disclosure Agreement.

In a straightforward manner, Morgan stated under oath that she had progressed in life and was merely present due to a summons from the government to provide testimony.

She stated that she recommended Ventura to part ways with Combs, but she clarified that due to her employment, her vehicle, and her residence, she was unable to do so.

During questioning by lawyer Marc Agnifilo, Morgan stated that she ended communication with Ventura because he wasn’t sympathetic towards her following the 2018 event. She further explained, “I have a limit for any form of physical violence.

Dawn Richard, formerly of Danity Kane, declared on May 16th that she observed Chris Brown chasing his ex-girlfriend, Ventura, with a frying pan filled with eggs back in 2009.

He stormed down the stairs, visibly upset, asking where his eggs were and accusing Cassie of always making mistakes about his food. According to Richard’s testimony, as corroborated by the court transcript from NBC News, he then approached the skillet containing the eggs and attempted to strike her on the head. This action caused her to fall to the ground.

Ventura “went into the fetal position,” Richard continued, “literally trying to hide her head.”

During the testimony on May 15, Ventura stated that there were no drugs blended with the baby oil which Combs favored, when using it during his “freak offs.

In October 2024, a court case was initiated accusing Combs of adding GHB, also known as the “date rape drug,” into the oil.

During the questioning under cross-examination on May 15th, Ventura stated that Combs would become envious and react in a volatile manner whenever she consumed drugs with others rather than with him.

In my expertise as a lifestyle advisor, I’ve come across instances where an individual, much like Combs, has struggled with substance abuse. When questioned by attorney Anna Estevao about potential connections between mood changes and medication in such cases, I would often respond that, indeed, these substances can play a significant role.

Earlier in the day, I had asked her if Combs appeared to be a drug addict, to which she responded by saying, “In my opinion, he was an addict.

Her response affirmed that Combs displayed signs of anger or volatility during his withdrawal period.

“I’m not a doctor,” Ventura said, but “coming off of certain pills he would be pretty irritated.”

During Ventura’s testimony on May 15, Judge Arun Subramanian paused the proceedings as Combs’ defense team presented graphic emails and texts during their cross-examination.

When lawyer Estevao showed Ventura conversations containing sexually explicit content between them from 2009 as evidence of a consensual relationship, the defense objected, and the judge agreed with this objection.

After hearing the objection, it was noticed that Ventura leaned towards the judge and whispered something, causing the official to unexpectedly announce a 10-minute recess.

A lively disagreement arose between the prosecution and defense, prior to the arrival of the jury, as the main defense lawyer, Marc Agniflio, contended that additional text messages should be presented in the courtroom. However, the judge stated that certain messages breached the federal evidence guidelines.

On the other hand, several pieces of evidence were allowed, containing explicit discussions between Combs and Ventura about their intimate relationships.

On May 15th, Ventura admitted that she couldn’t specify the exact number, but estimated that she and Combs were involved in several hundred “unusual events” together.

She claimed that her former partner secretly recorded their intimate moments for potential extortion, threatening to expose them which could harm her professional standing.

Ventura stated, “He often brought up those issues whenever he was upset or troubled. It happened quite frequently,” he added. “I was terrified about the consequences on both my professional and personal life. It was all mortifying, it was a terrible, disgraceful situation. Such actions should never be inflicted upon anyone.

Testifying on May 14, Ventura admitted to receiving a $20 million settlement from her former boyfriend Combs, following a lawsuit she filed against him in November 2023. The lawsuit claimed that Combs had sexually assaulted and physically abused her throughout their relationship.

Testified Ventura, following a pleasant dinner date with Combs at a Malibu eatery in 2018 where he was “very kind,” he later allegedly sexually assaulted her upon returning to her apartment. She mentioned that she was already involved with Alex Fine, whom she wedded in 2019.

She testified to the court, “I entered the house, and then he followed and assaulted me on the living room carpet. All I can recall is sobbing and repeatedly saying ‘no’, but it happened so quickly. His eyes appeared dark, he seemed altered, as if a part of him was being controlled, like an object being stolen from you.

Combs’ lawyers argue that he did not partake in any form of sexual activity without consent, and furthermore, the individuals accusing him of sexual misconduct willingly engaged in any sexual acts they were involved in.

Testifying in court, Ventura stated that she willingly engaged in sexual acts with Combs on another occasion following the alleged assault. When questioned about her decision to have sex with Combs again, she explained, “You can’t simply switch off feelings like that. I still held a positive image of him as an individual.

At the tail-end of 2011, I found it necessary to part ways with Mescudi due to a troubling incident where Combs allegedly threatened, “Your vehicle will be destroyed.” This was the reason for our separation, as testified in court.

Ventura expressed to the court that there was excessive risk and unpredictability about potential outcomes if they continued their meetings together. He stated that Sean had threatened to cause harm to them both.

On May 14, it was testified that “abnormal incidents” caused Ventura to develop urinary tract infections, mouth ulcers, and digestive problems.

During her testimony, Ventura described a series of events when we were constantly having issues, which she referred to as ‘freak offs’. These incidents occurred one after another and on one occasion, she had a ‘freak off’ while dealing with an infection. She attempted to clean it using water but unfortunately, the antibiotic CIPRO became ineffective. The situation deteriorated significantly.

She continued, “It was really painful for a long time. I can’t believe I actually dealt with that.”

In their text messages presented in court, Ventura informed Combs that she had ulcers on her tongue. His response was “I’m sorry.

On his second day of testifying, Ventura provided details about the 2016 hotel incident, which had been recorded on CCTV cameras and broadcast by CNN in May 2024.

In simpler terms, she stated that Combs hurled a vase at her following an attempt to depart from the Intercontinental Hotel before any physical violence occurred between them.

Ventura stated about the vase during his testimony on May 14th: “It seemed to be approaching me. It struck the wall instead of me. I didn’t receive any impact. He was shouting at me. I believe he hurled it in my direction, though I can’t recall his exact words precisely. I’m confident he wasn’t just using my name.

However, she said that Combs told her “that I wasn’t going to leave him, that I couldn’t.”

Immediately following the hotel incident, Ventura revealed that she had to appear at the premiere of her movie “The Perfect Match,” sporting bruises across her face and body together with Combs. To conceal her black eye and swollen lip, she also had to apply a thick layer of makeup. Moreover, she mentioned having multiple bruises on her legs, leading her to alter her outfit for the event.

On May 13th, the singer declared under oath that Diddy assaulted her in a Los Angeles hotel corridor back in March 2016, as he was enraged by her exit from what she referred to as a “freak-off.” (CNN released footage of the altercation in 2024. However, the defense’s attempt to keep this video out of evidence was unsuccessful.)

In a court setting, Ventura stated, “I decided it was best for me to depart. As I exited, Sean accompanied me down the corridor, seized me, pushed me to the floor, kicked me, and dragged me back into the room before taking my belongings.

Instead of participating, she found herself in a situation where she didn’t want to, as she had a movie premiere scheduled just a few days later and wished to keep Combs content. In her words, “If I could manage to appease him with an act that was unusual,” Ventura said, “then my premiere would go off without a hitch.

After he inflicted a black eye on her, she expressed, “At that moment, all I could focus on was escaping there safely. My debut was approaching and I didn’t wish to ruin it.” Upon being shoved to the ground in the corridor, Ventura noted, she remained prone because “I didn’t want him to inflict any further harm than he had already caused.

Testified Ventura, she consumed alcohol and ecstasy during her initial sexual encounter with an escort in the presence of Combs. To endure what she referred to as “freak offs,” she admitted to using marijuana, ketamine, mushrooms, or whichever drug happened to be popular at that moment.

“I couldn’t imagine myself doing any of that without having some sort of buffer,” she said.

At times, she’d become so overwhelmed that she’d physically retch, as Ventura explained. And in these moments of intense stress, Combs would urge me to keep going and persevere.

She expressed to Combs that the “pranks” were causing her great distress, making her feel “awful” and “unvalued,” according to Ventura. However, he seemed to disregard her worries.

Following an unexpected incident, it’s plausible that baby oil would be found throughout the hotel room, according to Ventura’s testimony. If Combs had asked someone to soil her (in a derogatory manner), then urine may have been discovered on the bedsheets. Moreover, if she happened to be menstruating at the time, there could potentially be blood stains not only on the sheets but also on the furniture.

According to Ventura, the act left her feeling deeply embarrassed. She described it as repulsive and overwhelming, causing her to struggle, wishing she wasn’t in that situation, and finding it hard to escape.

In my fervent enthusiasm, I must confess that his instructions were a thrilling temptation for me. So, inevitably, I found myself complying. When Emily A. Johnson, the diligent prosecutor, inquired as to why I didn’t resist Combs’ commands in these instances, I simply expressed that I believed it was self-evident that I had no desire to comply with them.

On the 13th of May, Ventura stated that Combs instructed her and others involved in the “freak off” event to apply baby oil on their bodies.

In court, she stated that Sean desired it to be warm and shiny, so we applied it every five minutes.

At the Montage Beverly Hills, during a surprising incident, Ventura was told by Combs to enter an inflatable pool filled with baby oil, while she was still dressed in clothing.

She didn’t feel like it, but if it was something Combs really wanted to occur, then that’s exactly what would transpire, she emphasized. “We employed a total of ten standard-sized bottles of baby oil,” she added.

Ventura disclosed to prosecutors on May 13 that during the initial phase of her ten-year relationship with Combs, he suggested incorporating voyeurism into their intimate activities. This started when she arranged for an escort and set up a scenario so that she could perform in front of Combs, who would observe her with another person.

Ultimately, she ended up treating the staging of “freak off” sex shows by Combs as a regular occupation for herself, with these events ranging from 36 hours to four days in duration.

She remembered, “I arranged for it in our hotel room and everything else at first, Sean had arranged it.

Ventura said that her “stomach churned” when he first proposed the experience.

She explained, “I didn’t initially understand why it would excite him, but I took on the task. I felt puzzled, anxious, yet deeply loved him and wished to bring joy into his life. It wasn’t something I eagerly looked forward to, especially given its frequency, but my love for him drove me to make him happy.

She admitted, “At some point, I felt I didn’t have much of a choice.”

In a statement, Ventura shared that Combs often displayed aggressive behavior towards her throughout their relationship which spanned from 2007 to 2018.

She informed the jury that the disagreements between us were indeed heated, often leading to physical violence such as hitting, pushing, and dragging. He would shove my head forcefully, send me tumbling to the ground, forcibly move me along, and sometimes even kick me.

She mentioned that she frequently had noticeable injuries, explaining, “I’d develop lumps on my forehead, have black and red eyes, and sport bruises covering my entire body.

On May 13th, Ventura was set to testify, following male escort Daniel Philip. In light of her eighth-month pregnancy, Combs’ legal team asked for her to be seated at the witness stand prior to the jury’s entrance.

Defense attorney Marc Agnifilo expressed to the judge that he believes there is a biased aspect at play, explaining, “Pregnancy holds a captivating and enchanting essence. Yet, it can also stir feelings of empathy.

Ventura joined later on, with the jury already in place, suggesting that his legal team’s motion had been denied previously.

On one particular instance when Ventura didn’t immediately respond to Combs’ call for her, Philip testified on May 12 that Combs became enraged. He allegedly hurled a bottle of liquor towards her, then forcefully grabbed her by the hair and dragged her into the bedroom. “She was screaming,” Philip described, and from another room, it sounded like Combs was hitting her. According to Philip, he heard Combs shout, “‘I told you to come here, you come here now, not later.’

Phillip said he was “terrified” and did not intervene.

Additionally, he confirmed that he caught wind of an altercation which appeared to be Combs physically attacking Ventura in another instance at the Essex House hotel in New York. He explained, “I heard her saying ‘I’m sorry, I’m sorry,’ someone was getting slapped and tossed around the room.” Philip continued, “Peeking around the corner, I saw Mr. Combs exit the hotel naked, or possibly just wrapped in a towel.

Ventura exited the room and landed on Philip’s lap, as he stated later on. He went on to say that she attempted to reassure him by saying “it’s alright” and “you’ll be fine,” to which he responded, “This is not acceptable, you need professional help.

“I tried to explain to her that she was in real danger if she stayed with him,” Phillip said.

In response to questioning from prosecutor Maureen Comey, Philip stated that he didn’t contact the police because he viewed Combs as a person with immense influence. He implied that even if he had reported the incident, there was a high likelihood that his life could still have been at risk.

Daniel Philip, who declared he was managing a male entertainment show during the specified period, testified that he received “a few thousand dollars” for engaging in sexual activities with Ventura while Combs was present at Manhattan’s Gramercy Hotel in 2012. Philip stated that Combs was dressed in a robe, a baseball cap, and a bandana concealing his face, but he identified him by his voice.

Ventura remunerated him and mentioned, “I’ll give you a tip when I depart,” Philip shared with the court. “Subsequently, we engaged in sexual activity. We rubbed baby oil on each other for a while. [Combs] was positioned in a corner, self-pleasuring.

Afterward, the witness continued, Ventura gave him “a couple of thousand more.”

Philip stated that he had numerous instances over the following year where both Ventura and Combs reached out to arrange similar encounters at different hotels and their residences in New York. He claimed that Combs videotaped him and Ventura during one or two sexual incidents, and on certain occasions, Combs would join in and engage in sex with Ventura while Philip was present.

In the 2023 legal action she filed against her former partner for charges of sexual assault and domestic violence, Ventura claimed that Combs compelled her into having intimate relations with male escorts.

Florez testified that Ventura appeared frightened. She huddled in a corner, with her hood up and herself mostly concealed. A shattered flower vase lay on the floor nearby.

After Ventura departed from the hotel, Florez mentioned that she had a noticeable purple eye. Later, when she was no longer present, Florez and the desk manager ascended to Combs’ room to discuss “hotel regulations.” According to Florez, Combs suspected the manager of secretly recording him on his phone and attempted to take it. In response, he allegedly grabbed Combs’ phone, and when Combs tried to seize Florez’s phone, Florez stated that he held Combs against a wall. “We assured him we weren’t recording him,” Florez testified, “and diffused the situation.

In court, the prosecution presented a slowed-down version of the surveillance footage that originally aired on CNN in May 2024, which showed Combs seemingly striking, kicking, and pulling Ventura – an allegation that the defense had previously contested due to claims that the initial clip was speeded up, exaggerating the violence. Additionally, the jury was played a video taken by Florez on his phone, responding to a distress call on the sixth floor, which he recorded.

Florez stated that he didn’t contact the authorities immediately since Ventura refused to discuss what had transpired and insisted on departing instead.

LA Police Officer Israel Florez previously served as a security guard at the InterContinental Hotel. It was during this time that the incident involving Combs attacking Ventura took place on March 5, 2016. In her opening statement, Geragos described the surveillance footage of the attack – first broadcast by CNN in May 2024 as “compelling evidence of domestic violence,” but clarified that it was not primarily related to allegations of sex trafficking, but rather infidelity discovered on a cell phone.

On May 12th, Florez stated that he witnessed a scuffle on the day in question, and Combs reportedly gave him a pile of cash to ignore it.

In my professional opinion, upon observing the gesture, I had no doubt in my mind that it was an attempt by Mr. Combs to offer me a bribe.
