Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra’s adoption saga has taken a new turn.
In a virtual counseling session aimed at resolving their tense relationship with Carly (their daughter), the Teen Mom stars found themselves presented an opportunity to hear a recording of Carly singing, aged 16. However, they assert that this gesture was accompanied by certain conditions.
On Instagram’s May 22 post, the duo shared that Brandon and Teresa wouldn’t permit them a copy of their song. Instead, they claimed listening to it was only possible if it was being recorded. The reason for this, as they put it, is because hearing Carly sing has been deeply emotional for them in the past, leading them to desire a personal moment to listen undisturbed.
The article additionally featured snapshots of a letter directed towards Brandon and Teresa (the couple who adopted the teenager born in 2009), written by Catelynn and Tyler, expressing their doubts about the motive behind the action during the strained relationship between the families.
The couple expressed their frustration in a letter posted on Instagram on May 22, stating that they dislike it when we discuss our adoption story openly. However, they also wish for us to perform a deeply personal song about our adoption journey on national TV, broadcasting it globally.
Carly and Tyler, along with their daughters Nova (aged 10), Vaeda (6), and Rya (3), expressed feelings of being “trapped,” perplexed, dominated, and influenced negatively by Brandon and Teresa’s proposal.
The letter stated, “It’s perplexing because while you don’t seem to want us to possess the song personally (as Carly does), you’re simultaneously trying to make it available globally via television, which goes against your previous statements that you prefer to stay away from the TV industry.
Despite their frustration, the duo extended their own peace offering.
They expressed deep regret if their statements regarding their truth as birthparents may have caused pain to you, Carly, or negatively affected your life. It was never their intention to do so. This reconciliation attempt is not about either of us; it’s focused on what Carly requires and desires instead.
In a sneak peek from the May 22 finale of MTV’s reality show, Catelynn and Tyler had a virtual meeting with Dr. Drew to address their dispute with Brandon and Teresa. Throughout this conversation, the addiction expert expressed optimism for a future mending of relationships on both sides.
He clarified that Teresa consistently expressed her desire to align with your wishes and preserve their relationship. However, she seems to be in need of some time to cool down and for any tension or negativity to subside.

In 2009, viewers witnessed Catelynn Lowell and her now-spouse, Tyler Baltierra, face a challenging decision – to give their firstborn daughter, Carly, up for adoption. This heartrending event unfolded on the debut season of “16 and Pregnant”. After 13 years as a couple, they tied the knot in August 2015 and expanded their family with three more daughters: Novalee, Vaeda, and Rya.
Although I deeply miss having Carly, my beloved ward who resides with Brandon and Teresa Davis, I find solace in their unwavering determination to build a brighter tomorrow.
In an interview with TopMob News in January 2025, Catelynn expressed that their bond “is whatever she desires.” She continued, “Whether she seeks a relationship with her biological siblings, if she prefers a connection with us, fantastic. If not, we get it. Whatever form it takes for her, because it should be focused on the adoptee’s preferences.
As a lifestyle advisor, I’ve always been captivated by the journey of Maci Bookout, whose life was put under the spotlight on ’16 and Pregnant’. Six months into their relationship, she found herself navigating the challenges posed by an unreliable partner in Ryan Edwards. Despite their engagement, their high school romance didn’t last long past the birth of their son Bentley in 2008.
Currently, they’re working on establishing a strong coparenting bond. As TopMob News learned in 2023, Maci shared that Ryan has been more reliable than ever, appearing regularly, which might be more frequent than any other time previously.
In 2012, Maci came across her long-term partner, Taylor McKinney from Texas. The couple started expanding their team shortly thereafter. They were blessed with daughter Jayde in May 2015 and son Maverick a year later. Their union was formalized in Florida in October of the same year.
Speaking to TopMob News in 2023, she described her partner as her life and parenting companion, as well as business partner in their TTM Lifestyle fashion brand. “He’s simply the one for me,” she expressed. “Despite facing challenging times together during the past year, I find that in the end, he remains my choice. I appreciate him, and even when I feel like I want to express my frustration by giving him a playful punch, I prefer to argue with him or go through difficult periods with him rather than experiencing smooth sailing with someone else.
Even though they have moved on to different relationships, the former MTV stars, who became close during their time on The Challenge, still share parental responsibilities for their daughter named Ryder.
From the very start of Cory stepping into Ryder’s world, the biggest focus for me has always been about being the best dad and parent possible. I wasn’t going to let him be a dad who only showed up at Disneyland or posted perfect moments on Instagram. He needed to be all in, and I think he sensed my approach and valued it. That’s why our co-parenting has been so effective. I shared this perspective with TopMob News back in March 2020.
Following the end of their romance in 2018, the duo chose to rekindle their relationship. During Cheyenne’s 28th birthday celebration, she announced on Instagram that they were back together. In May 2021, they became parents for the first time, welcoming son Ace, and eventually tied the knot in September 2022.
In an interview with TopMob News in 2024, Cheyenne shared, “For the past two years, we’ve been crossing items off our bucket list. Our dream was to have a baby and we welcomed Ace into our family. We wished to get married, and we had our beautiful wedding ceremony. Our goal was to buy a house, and now we proudly call our new home ours.
She added, “I have no desire for action or setting a target. Instead, I yearn for tranquility. My aim is simply to remain calm and content with our current situation. All I ask for is harmony between us. Beyond that, I seek nothing more.
Despite the seemingly unconventional beginnings on the reality show ‘Ex on the Beach’, Cory and former ‘Are You the One?’ contestant Taylor Selfridge have built a lasting relationship, resulting in two beautiful daughters named Mila and Maya. Even after several years, their story continues to make ripples.
He disclosed to TopMob News in 2023 that he had recently purchased a new home, adding that many were curious about his wedding plans. “Discussions about it are certainly happening,” he said, “but there’s still the matter of the ring and letting Taylor know for sure. She deserves this moment, and it’s something we both desire. At present, we’re simply moving forward to make it happen.
As a die-hard fan, I couldn’t help but delve deep into the story of Ryan and Mackenzie. Just a year after tying the knot in May 2017, my beloved Ryan found himself checking into rehab. Amidst his journey towards recovery, their first child, little Jagger, was born in 2018, a beacon of hope during those challenging times for Ryan.
In January 2020, they happily welcomed their daughter Stella into their family, but by the third year, Mackenzie initiated a divorce. Currently, Ryan is betrothed to Amanda Conner, who is pregnant with their initial child.
Despite their tumultuous relationship concluding definitively in 2013, this former couple has successfully coparented their now-adolescent daughter Leah for a number of years.
In response to TopMob News in January 2022, Amber shared that we enjoy each other’s company while maintaining a physical distance, but the bond has grown stronger and resembles a family more than any other relationship.
It’s true that families can have disagreements occasionally. However, in recent times, it seems like Amber and Gary might not be getting along too well based on her posts on social media, which suggest they may not be the closest of former partners anymore.
Following several years as a couple and an attempt at marriage, along with a brief participation in the reality show “Marriage Boot Camp,” Amber and Matt Baier, who is originally from Boston, ended their engagement in 2017.
On Dr. Drew Pinsky’s podcast, Amber admitted that at some point in their relationship, she stopped paying attention and caring as she should have, building a wall to protect herself from potential pain.
On the set of “Marriage Boot Camp”, Amber happened to discover love with crew member Andrew Glennon. They publically announced their relationship at the 2017 MTV Movie Awards, and in May 2018, they welcomed their first child, named James, into their family.
However, the pair parted ways shortly following Amber’s arrest on charges of domestic battery in July 2019. After a lengthy, disputatious legal process, it was determined that California-born Andrew would be granted sole legal and primary physical custody of their child in 2022.
The “Teen Mom” celebrity expressed this to TopMob News: “I’ve put in a tremendous amount of effort to grow personally and strengthen my bonds with my kids.” She has consistently been open about her past issues with substance abuse and mental health, but she believes that everyone deserves an opportunity for redemption, not to be forever defined by their past troubles.
Undaunted by the challenges, she reassured, “Even if your path hasn’t been smooth, but you’ve strived tirelessly to grow into a stronger, steadier, and compassionate individual today, continue to press on as I do. Rest assured, I will always stand my ground for my cherished children, who mean the world to me.
Following an online encounter with Amber, Dimitri Garcia first appeared on “Teen Mom OG” in April 2020. On the program, Amber disclosed, “Dimitri is from Belgium and he’s 39 years old, making him 10 years older than me. But he’s a very attractive man.” She continued, “I began to open up to him, and we decided it was worthwhile to meet since we have feelings for each other.
Back in April 2021, Amber shared on the special reunion of Teen Mom OG that she was still with Dimitri. She clarified their relationship by saying they had known each other for about 18 months, but hadn’t seen each other for a year. Despite not publicly confirming a breakup, Amber later introduced Gary Wayt as her new boyfriend during an episode of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter in June 2024.
In the crisp autumn of 2023, when I matched with Gary 2.0 on a dating app, he emerged as a captivating figure in my life. This happened when the seasoned ‘Teen Mom’ star presented me to her circle of friends during a virtual get-together, and there he was.
Despite his proposal in May 2024, their relationship didn’t last long. During his visit to North Carolina for Amber’s brother’s wedding in June, they had an argument which led to Gary leaving suddenly, causing Amber to file a missing persons report.
And while Gary was soon located, the duo’s engagment wasn’t the only thing left broken.
Amber shared, on “Teen Mom: The Next Chapter,” that she spent three to four days believing her fiancé was deceased. She described the experience as struggling with grief and attempting to understand why anyone would do such a thing to her, adding that she’s currently going through a difficult time.
She went on to say, “This man shattered me. Before him, I was strong and steady. For the first time in years, I find myself off balance, because a man proposed to me with a ring.
Several months had passed since Gary and his wife, Kristina Anderson, became parents to their daughter Emilee in April 2015. Subsequently, they tied the knot in a charming beach wedding ceremony.
In his 2022 Instagram post, Gary expressed, “Your soul is among the most radiant ones I’ve encountered. I can’t imagine navigating life without your presence.
In December 2008, exactly two months before Sophia’s birth, the man who was Farrah Abraham’s daughter’s father tragically lost his life in an accident.
Farrah had a long-term, on-again, off-again relationship with Simon Saran, a real estate agent, marking her first substantial relationship since the passing of her boyfriend from high school, which lasted more than two years.
Despite their 2017 breakup becoming quite contentious, they attempted – albeit somewhat halfheartedly – to maintain a friendship.
Simon shared with TopMob News that he holds no grudges against Farrah. They simply come from distinct backgrounds. Farrah prefers the artificial lifestyle, while Simon values authenticity. He genuinely hopes for her well-being and prosperity in all her upcoming ventures.
As an ardent fan, I can’t help but share a tale about Jenelle Evans and Andrew Lewis, the parents of my beloved teenage hero, Jace. Despite their union, they parted ways shortly after Jace’s birth in 2009. Regrettably, Jenelle, my idol, has had little to no participation in nurturing her son’s life.
Jenelle contemplated on an episode of ‘Teen Mom 2’ in 2019, feeling sorry for Jace being his father. However, she knew his character and didn’t wish for him to let down her son. She didn’t want him to reappear only to vanish again.
After spending a year married to Courtland Rogers and giving birth to her second child, Kaiser, with ex-boyfriend Nathan Griffin in 2014, Jenelle later tied the knot with David Eason on their North Carolina property in September 2017. This wedding took place eight months after they had their daughter Ensley together.
Following a difficult period, David was accused of a minor child abuse offense concerning Jace. At that time, Jenelle compared it to a “smear campaign” against him. Later, Jenelle disclosed they had parted ways. She stated on social media that she wished to file for divorce immediately, but due to North Carolina’s laws, one must be legally separated for a year before filing and must also provide proof of two separate residences.
Recall the charming individual who once asked his ex-girlfriend, Chelsea Houska, about when he could “finalize the documents regarding that error”?
Completely in the rearview.
Despite the long-standing history, the former Teen Mom star who now thrives on HGTV has an unusually peaceful bond with her high school ex, Adam Lind, who is Aubree’s father. As she shared with Us Weekly, “There’s no tension and it’s a very transparent relationship.” She added that they don’t harbor any ill feelings towards each other and occasionally meet without any issues.
In 2014, a chance encounter at a gas station marked the start of something special between Chelsea and Cole DeBoer. They officially became husband and wife in October 2016. Since then, they’ve added three beautiful children to their family – Watson (born in 2017), Layne (born in 2018), and Walker (born in 2021). Most recently, this loving couple embarked on a new journey together by launching their HGTV series titled Down Home Fab.
Speaking with TopMob News, Chelsea expressed her desire for their potential return to TV to be a positive and humorous experience. She wanted it to allow them to genuinely express themselves, which made this opportunity feel perfectly suited to them, as she described it, “This was simply an amazing chance to do just that.
Initially, Leah Messer and Corey Simms attempted to transform their friendship into a lifelong union, but the parents of teenage twins Aleeah and Aliannah chose to part ways just six months following their October 2010 wedding by filing for divorce.
Corey has been married to Miranda Patterson since 2013.
In 2012, Leah got married to Jeremy Calvert, and they had a daughter named Adalynn the following year.
Despite parting ways in 2015, they’ve strived diligently to co-parent their daughter, with outcomes that can sometimes be less than ideal. Leah shared her thoughts about this experience with TopMob News: “I see a completely transformed and improved version of myself,” she said. “Watching them engage in the things they adore, and having the opportunity to encourage and participate in their lives is enchanting. I cherish it. I love being a mother, particularly a mom to girls.
By the year 2021, when Leah made their relationship Instagram official with Jaylan Mobley, this U.S. Army officer had already won over not only Leah but also her children as well.
The couple announced their engagement in August 2022, but broke up that October.
A year ago, I opened up to TopMob News about my past relationship, admitting, “That breakup was exactly what I needed.” Through the trials of that relationship, I’ve gained valuable insights, and looking ahead, I can confidently say that I’m embarking on a new chapter in my life.
Kailyn Lowry had her first child, Isaac, with her high school sweetheart Jo Rivera when she was only 17 years old in the year 2010.
Despite parting ways a year later, they have established a harmonious co-parenting relationship. Interestingly enough, Kailyn hosts her former podcast, “Baby Mamas No Drama,” with Jo’s spouse, Vee Torres, now. Kailyn expressed on her social media platform after attending Jo and Vee’s 2018 wedding that they have come a long way since their teenage years, stating, “I couldn’t ask for a better stepmom for Isaac.
In November 2013, Kailyn’s second child, named Lincoln, became part of the team. This happened approximately a year after Kailyn, who was then a prominent figure on the show Teen Mom 2, tied the knot with her son’s father, Javi Marroquin.
In late 2016, their relationship encountered some rough patches, as Javi and his fiancée, Lauren Comeau, who are already parents to son Eli, announced in December 2023 that they were expecting their second child, a daughter.
Despite Kailyn having sons Lux and Creed together with partner Chris Lopez during their ups and downs in their relationship, they ultimately decided to end things permanently.
In 2020, she shared with TopMob News that we currently aren’t in touch at all. She expressed her hope that things will improve over time, though she doesn’t have any grand plans. She made no negative comments, only expressing hope for the sake of their children that whatever happens, it resolves itself peacefully in whatever way it may.
With her current partner, Elijah Scott, Kailyn has found a solid base for herself. As she explained to People, Elijah is unlike any of her previous partners and the fathers of her kids. “He’s quite different,” she said about Elijah, who is the father of her son Rio and twins Verse and Valley. “He works with concrete, getting his hands dirty at work. But he’s also a devoted family man. He has strong ties with his own family as well as ours, making him an excellent partner for me. I feel like we make a great match.
A strong enough one that she finally said yes to one of his many proposals, in fact.
In response to TopMob News in September 2024, Kailyn clarified that her neighbor-turned-spouse had proposed marriage multiple times, and she never responded with a definitive no. Instead, she explained, “I would simply reply, ‘Yes, but not just yet.’
And while she admitted that the construction worker had certainly influenced her opinion about marriage, Kailyn isn’t immediately planning to dash off and purchase a wedding dress. In a jovial manner, she quipped, “Whether or not we get married depends on which day you ask me!
Despite encountering numerous highs and lows since the birth of their child Kloie in 2017, Indiana residents Jade Cline and Sean Austin hinted to followers in January 2022 that things were looking up for them.
She shared with TopMob News that significant changes occurred in our lives and notable advancements took place for Sean, too, along with his future prospects. I’m incredibly proud of him and where we are now. Eight months later, they revealed their engagement, tying the knot in October 2023.
2024, TopMob News reported that Jade admitted, “Our relationship isn’t flawless all the time, but what binds us together is our mutual affection. We manage to make things function despite its imperfections.
Ashley Jones, a native of California, and Bar Smith tied the knot in 2021 – four years following the birth of their daughter, Holly.
But after calling off their romance several times, Ashley officially filed for divorce in 2024.
Time elapsed since the birth of Nova, their daughter, in 2011 found 16 and Pregnant star Briana DeJesus and Devoin Austin II considering a rekindling of their relationship.
In the current chapter of my life, as I shared with TopMob News in 2024, I am yearning for a genuine partner, not the youthful companions I’ve been accustomed to in the past. Instead, I seek a mature man who embodies the qualities I aspire to connect with deeply.
Following her appearance on the one-season run of “Teen Mom 3”, Briana subsequently became part of the cast for “Teen Mom 2” in its eighth series, and welcomed her second daughter, Stella, with ex-partner Luis Miguel, on July 2017.
Ever since then, Luis has only been minimally involved. As Briana put it during a Teen Mom 2 episode in December 2019, she believes he desires a family with her, but as she’s not providing that, he seems to prefer keeping his distance entirely.
