Gangs of London: Who Killed Finn Wallace as Part of a Sinister Conspiracy?

The intense crime series “Gangs of London,” produced by Gareth Evans and available on , has concluded its third season. This show revolves around several criminal groups entangled in a maze of deception and falsehoods. Elliot Finch (played by ) is a police officer who goes undercover within the Wallace organization, uncovering an intricate plot while maintaining his cover. The Wallace family, led by Finn Wallace (), heads a multinational criminal cooperative with numerous families serving as subordinates. However, chaos ensues when Finn Wallace is killed.

The heart of the series revolves around the murder of Finn Wallace, the matriarchal figure and mastermind behind both legitimate business ventures and criminal activities within his family and London as a whole. His demise sent shockwaves throughout the city, driving his son and wife to seek vengeance. Unraveling the mystery of who killed Finn Wallace and their motives isn’t straightforward, but when all the puzzle pieces are put together, the truth becomes apparent.

Who Killed Finn Wallace on Gangs of London?

In the initial episode of “Gangs of London”, Finn Wallace meets an untimely end at the hands of youngsters Darren and Ioan, who were tasked with the job to earn money. Their actions trigger a chain of events throughout the series, yet they prove to be minor players in a much larger scheme. Jevan Kapadia, working behind the scenes, orchestrated Finn’s assassination through a Danish mercenary group. The group recruited two expendable individuals for the job unwittingly. It is later revealed that Jevan serves a secretive organization known as the Investors, who mastermind events from the shadows and wield immense power over every facet of society. They are relentless in their pursuit of stability, ready to go to any lengths to protect their amassed wealth and ensure its continued growth.

Why Did the Investors Kill Finn Wallace?

Investors allegedly eliminated Finn Wallace due to his intention to abandon all possessions and flee to a secluded island with his lover, Floriana (Arta Dobroshi), along with vast sums of money. The Danish Mercenary group might be detaining Floriana and her baby, as she could have knowledge about the enormous funds that Finn had withdrawn from the business before disappearing.

The Investors rely heavily on Finn to manage his business effectively and maintain substantial funds, both legally and illegally. When Finn chooses to leave and takes billions of pounds with him, the Investors opt to remove him from power and transfer leadership of the Wallace empire to Alex Dumani, the sensible and capable son of Finn’s partner, rather than Finn’s impulsive and unstable son, Sean, who seeks revenge, along with Sean’s mother, Marian (Finn’s wife), and another son, Billy.

In the first season of “Gangs of London”, even before the investors are introduced, Alex is portrayed as a shrewd businessman: he’s intelligent, able to remain calm, grasp the bigger picture, and keep everyone satisfied and prosperous. Conversely, Sean, who appears to be the next in line for the Wallace dynasty, lacks the necessary qualities to manage the family business; he’s impulsive, erratic, and unpredictable. Even Sean’s father doubted his abilities. Alex represents stability while Sean embodies chaos, making the investors favor Alex to run the business and eventually eliminate the Wallace family entirely. It appears that Sean is killed by Elliot, who holds influence over him due to the threat made against Shannon Dumani and her son. However, the investors manipulate the situation to have Alex take over, only to face further complications afterwards.

Who Was Revealed to be Finn’s Son?

As a devoted film enthusiast, let me recount the events of Season 2 from my perspective: Overwhelmed by the Investors seizing control, my friend Alex spiraled into drug addiction and exhibited strange behavior. The Investors, in their ruthless pursuit, plotted to eliminate Alex, also compelling me to take his life. However, I refused to be their instrument of destruction. Instead, I sought to provide Alex with the damning evidence against the Investors that I had gathered during my role as a hitman (which I was coerced into after the first season). Alas, despite my efforts, Alex, consumed by despair, chose to end his life rather than fight back.

In the end, it became clear that Elliot had chosen not to take Sean’s life but instead wounded him in the cheek. Later on, the authorities apprehended Sean. Sadly, Sean met his real demise in Season 3. This season also delved deeper into Finn’s death through a series of flashbacks, providing additional context, and unveiling unexpected plot twists such as Zeek Kimura (played by Andrew Koji), an enigmatic assassin introduced in Season 3, being Finn’s hidden son!

Besides this revelation, it’s uncovered that Finn orchestrated the deaths of Elliot’s wife and son, a fact that leaves Marian and Billy enraged over Sean’s arrest. However, they come to understand that Elliot has a stronger cause for anger towards them than vice versa. As a result, Marian instructs Billy to take action against Elliot. In the season finale, we’re left wondering who met their end when Billy and Elliot are seen together; a gunshot rings out, leaving us hanging until Season 4 to discover if either character perished in the closing moments of Season 3.
