Jeremy Clarkson’s resume continues to expand, with “pub owner” now among his accomplishments – a role viewers will catch a glimpse of during the fourth season of Clarkson’s Farm.
In the latest installment, Clarkson finds himself alone as Kaleb Cooper embarks on a UK tour, leaving him free to ponder. With additional assistance on the farm coming aboard, Clarkson seizes the quiet moments to envision a new venture – purchasing a local pub.
Clarkson shared that his vision for the pub was a place where farmers could retreat to. He envisioned it as a spot where these farmers could gather if they were unable to work on their farms due to rain on a Tuesday afternoon, providing them an opportunity to socialize with fellow farmers over a pint.
The heart of this public house lies in providing an environment where one can momentarily escape their worries, as that’s essentially what a pub is all about – offering a temporary respite.
So, just where is Jeremy Clarkson’s pub? Read on to find out more about its location.
Where is Jeremy Clarkson’s pub?
The Farmer’s Dog is situated in Burford, a town in the Cotswold Hills in West Oxfordshire.
Why did Jeremy Clarkson buy a pub?

In the fourth season, Clarkson decided to invest in and champion British livestock farmers by purchasing a pub, which became known as “The Farmer’s Dog.
In a chat with Prime Video prior to the show’s debut, Clarkson shared why he decided to purchase the pub and create additional income sources.
He mentioned that a restaurant wasn’t permissible at the location, but he was fond of the concept of establishing a farming cooperative instead. Here, local farmers would unite, and we’d compensate them fairly for their produce, whether it be livestock like pigs, cows, or chickens.
I figured the most suitable action was to purchase one of the numerous pubs available locally, or even nationwide. Consequently, I bought a pub that included a restaurant, allowing us to rebuild the farming cooperative and exclusively serve British produce.
I aimed to offer solely food and beverages produced within the United Kingdom. We refused items like coffee, ketchup, and Coca-Cola. There are individuals in Cornwall who cultivate tea and black pepper.
Although they aren’t members of the cooperative directly, our efforts are geared towards aiding British farmers and breeders. This has always been my objective.
