There have been whispers about Starfield, another potential Xbox to PlayStation 5 port, and according to recent reports, Bethesda’s RPG is still expected to arrive on PlayStation 5 this year.

According to a trusted source, NateDrake, who has accurately leaked PS5 plans in the past, mentioned on Twitter that it is likely Starfield will be announced for Sony’s current-generation console this year. When the official unveiling happens, they anticipate the timeframe between announcement and release will be quite short.

If Microsoft isn’t planning to reveal the PS5 port of Starfield during December, then the quick timing between announcement and release implies that the game might be coming out this year. Previous speculation has pointed towards a PS5 launch for the space RPG in 2021 as well, coinciding with the debut of an additional expansion. Reports also suggest that the PS5 edition has been under development for quite some time now, and there’s even a possibility it could have already been released.

In addition to a possible second expansion for Shattered Space, the game continues to get significant free updates. For instance, this month’s update on Xbox Series X|S and PC includes additional Creation quests, community-created items, and various quality-of-life improvements.
