Following his role as one of the multiple Kens in the 2023 Barbie film, Doctor Who star Ncuti Gatwa will be elevated – with Mattel introducing a fresh doll depicting the Fifteenth Doctor.
The news about this particular item has been announced at London’s MCM Comic Con, and it can now be pre-ordered within the UK, along with a doll based on Millie Gibson’s character, Ruby Sunday.
The Barbie figure showcases an impressive resemblance to Doctor Gatwa, donning his iconic attire from Season 14 – a long, brown leather coat paired with blue pants and a striped shirt, as seen in The Church on Ruby Road episode.
Mattel described the design as embodying the “confident, vivid essence” of the Doctor, while Gatwa found it deeply moving, stating: “Barbie is renowned, so to behold a Barbie representation of the Doctor was emotional, dreamlike, remarkable, and I can’t stop beaming.
