As a gaming enthusiast, I’ve been keeping my eyes peeled on all the Xbox Game Studios titles making their way to the PS5, with Senua’s Saga: Hellblade 2 being the latest addition to the lineup. However, the question that keeps popping up in my mind is about Starfield. Bethesda has been teasing some exciting things for this space-adventure RPG in 2025, but apart from a recent beta update, there’s been no chatter about it being released on other consoles.

According to the inside source known as NateTheHate, there’s no doubt that a PlayStation 5 version is on its way, with an official announcement anticipated this year. The only uncertainty lies in when exactly we’ll hear about it, but he suggests the gap between the announcement and release will be small.

As a dedicated gamer, I recall hearing from The Verge’s Tom Warren that Starfield was initially slated for release on PS5 together with its first expansion, Shattered Space, last year. However, it seems that plans took an unexpected turn for some unexplained reason. Interestingly enough, something quite similar happened with Forza Horizon 5, and now it’s available on the console.

Titles such as “Gears of War: Reloaded” and “The Outer Worlds 2” will debut simultaneously on day one for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S. It’s likely that “Starfield” won’t be far behind.
