It’s fair to describe Uwe Boll as a controversial filmmaker. With nearly 40 films under his belt, many of which were panned by critics, particularly his video game adaptations like ‘House of the Dead’ in 2003, often considered one of the worst movies ever made. So often have his films been criticized that he even proposed a boxing match to five critics, an event documented in the film ‘Raging Boll’. After retiring and running a restaurant with his wife in 2016, he’s now back in the world of filmmaking, working on ‘First Shift’ as both writer and director.
The movie narrates the story of a New York City police officer, accompanied by his new partner Angela, as they endure a challenging day amidst the perilous and habitual life of policing in the metropolis. Check out our review HERE
