Looks like Kalfie’s reunion could be firmly cemented in EastEnders very soon.
In the upcoming weeks, viewers of the BBC One soap will get a sneak peek as Alfie Moon (played by Shane Richie) asks his long-time sweetheart Kat Slater (portrayed by Jessie Wallace) for her hand in marriage once more.
It’s been uncovered that this duo is launching a fresh limousine service, and Alfie proposes a bridal-inspired photo session as a marketing strategy to boost their advertising efforts.
Yet, Alfie will catch Kat off guard when he takes advantage of the moment to propose once more, hinting at them being the couple featured in the wedding photographs.
Will Kat say yes?
Based on the joyful and content appearance of the couple in these pictures, it seems like there’s a strong possibility that they may soon tie the knot under the light of the next full moon!
Undoubtedly, long-time EastEnders viewers are well aware that the relationship between Kat and Alfie has been a thrilling ride spanning two decades. Their connection started shortly after Alfie moved to Walford back in 2002.
In spite of their stormy romance, marked by Alfie’s involvement with gangster Andy Hunter (played by Michael Higgs), Kat eventually married Alfie in the Vic during Christmas 2003.
Nevertheless, their marriage was marked by marital conflicts, Andy’s coercion, and later a love triangle involving Kat’s sister Little Mo Mitchell (Kacey Ainsworth). This turbulent relationship continued to fluctuate until they had a storybook departure during the Christmas season of 2005.

Later, it was discovered that their son Tommy had been exchanged at birth with the child of Ronnie Branning (Samantha Womack), who unfortunately passed away. To add to their troubles, Kat was unfaithful to her partner multiple times.
In 2012, the duo parted ways, officially divorcing the year after. Subsequently, Alfie tied the knot with Roxy Mitchell (Rita Simons). Yet, his heart remained with Kat, leading to another reconciliation and remarriage in 2014.
After encountering money problems and becoming parents to twins Bert and Ernie Moon, the pair found themselves winning the lottery, leading them to leave Walford in 2016. Subsequently, they appeared in the yet unnamed Irish spin-off series Kat & Alfie: Redwater.
In a turn of events, Kat separated from Alfie somewhere off-screen in 2018 and came back to Walford. Later on, Alfie reappeared in Albert Square, unveiling his secret paternity of baby Cherry Slater with Kat’s cousin Hayley (Katie Jarvis). A shocking Christmas episode resulted in the demise of their reconciliation as Alfie displayed a darker and more sinister side that was unlike his usual character. The plot eventually led to Alfie departing from the soap opera in 2019.
After that event, Kat moved forward into other romantic involvements, with her most prominent one being when she became engaged to Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden). However, Alfie reappeared in 2022 without succeeding in rekindling his relationship with Kat or preventing her marriage to Phil, which took place in 2023. Despite their own issues, both Kat and Phil stood by Alfie during his battle with prostate cancer.
In the year 2024, Kat chose to part ways with Phil following his infidelity with Patsy Kensit, known as Emma Harding, eventually rekindling her relationship with Alfie by year’s end.
After that point, they’ve been navigating the effects of Alfie’s cancer therapy on their intimacy, as well as Sonny Kendall’s troublesome behavior towards Kat, which resulted in him mistreating her and spending some time apart from them.
