Interestingly, this was not the case in the original 1954 film where Godzilla emerged and unleashed destruction upon Tokyo, symbolizing the devastation wrought by the first atomic bomb during World War II. Despite being a science fiction movie with profound undertones, the sequels transformed the Godzilla saga into an exhilarating monster movie series, featuring colossal beasts engaging in epic battles across bustling urban landscapes.
In the 70-year history of Godzilla, his adversaries have gained almost equal fame as the legendary kaiju.
