Earlier, Fantasy Life was exclusively available on the Nintendo 3DS – but it seems that the strategy of releasing its upcoming sequel on multiple platforms is proving beneficial for Level-5.
After a significant hiatus of more than six years since the release of Megaton Musashi, the renowned developer has officially surpassed 500,000 units in sales with their latest game, Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time.
With sales data spread across various channels, it’s clear that the game has garnered a substantial following. Specifically, this weekend saw a peak of 60,000 concurrent players on Steam, outperforming other notable recent launches such as DOOM: The Dark Ages.
To commemorate its worldwide success, the Japanese studio has plans to roll out free additional content for their game in the future, featuring new recipes and high-rarity weapon-focused content.
These developments are a revival period for Level-5, featuring additional forthcoming games such as Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road and DECAPOLICE.
