Approximately one year post-launch, Konami’s “Silent Hill: The Short Message” surpassed a significant download threshold, reaching an impressive 4 million downloads. As shared via Konami UK’s Twitter account, this milestone was recently achieved.
On the PlayStation 5 and free of charge, HexaDrive’s narrative unfolds, where we meet Anita, who wakes up in a run-down apartment complex known as the Villa. Following a message from her friend Maya asking her to find something, Anita embarks on a chilling exploration within the building, struggling to recall how she ended up there.
Beyond “Silent Hill: The Short Message,” Konami has also launched a remake of “Silent Hill 2,” which surpassed sales of over two million units. Currently, the developers are working on a new version of the game titled “Silent Hill f” for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. Despite being the next mainline title, it’s important to note that this is an entirely fresh project, unrelated to previous installments in the series, according to the publisher.
SILENT HILL: The Short Message has gained the 4M downloads.
We thank everyone for playing this game.
SILENT HILL: The Short Message is available on PlayStation®5 for free.
We hope you enjoy this game as your first step into the world of #SILENTHILL.— KONAMI UK (@KONAMIUK) May 23, 2025
