Vanessa Kirby’s Sue Storm Unleashes Invisibility Powers in Stunning New Fantastic Four Art!

In the latest artwork from “The Fantastic Four: First Steps”, Vanessa Kirby’s character Sue Storm/Invisible Woman is depicted with a semi-transparent appearance. This hints at her abilities just before her debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Despite Kirby taking on a significant role as the team leader in the upcoming Fantastic Four film, promotional materials have not yet highlighted her powers extensively.

In a recent unveiling of promotional artwork for “The Fantastic Four: First Steps”, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm displayed her invisibility abilities for the initial time. Previous trailers for the movie have emphasized all four members of Marvel’s original family, but until now, it was only Sue Storm’s powers that received limited attention.

According to Snapple’s latest advertisement, the main group of the Fantastic Four (including their robot companion HERBIE) are depicted in their costumes, some even demonstrating their special abilities.

To the right of Pedro Pascal’s Reed Richards and Joseph Quinn’s Johnny Storm, you’ll find Vanessa Kirby’s Sue Storm, more famously known as the Invisible Woman. Fans will notice her feet seeming to vanish under her legs, with a subtle light blue glow outlining her feet and ankles as she becomes invisible.

Other pictures depict Sue using a few of her additional abilities, with particular emphasis on her power to generate force shields directly from her hands.

Sue’s ability to become invisible has been portrayed in various ways across different media throughout the years, and in comic books, this power is typically illustrated by making her appear semi-transparent, allowing whatever lies behind her to show through.

As a movie-loving aficionado, I must say that the fresh concept art for this upcoming film shares a certain resemblance to other comic adaptations, albeit with an intriguing twist. Instead of depicting Sue in full detail, only the silhouette of her body, costume, and face is visible. It’s as if we’re given a tantalizing peek into the character’s essence, leaving us eager to discover more when the movie hits the big screen.

In the Marvel Rivals version, Sue Storm’s portrayal of her powers showcased an unusual twist, resulting in a translucent appearance and a radiant blue aura that enveloped not only her body but also her iconic blonde tresses.

In the 2005 version of Fantastic Four, the character Sue Storm (portrayed by Jessica Alba) used to become entirely invisible whenever her powers were activated. Gradually, only a faint outline of her physical attributes could be seen, and eventually, she would vanish completely.

In the upcoming movie “The Fantastic Four,” Sue Storm’s invisibility abilities are set to make their debut on screen, but so far, neither her invisibility nor any hints about it have been revealed in the trailers or promotional materials. Although a poster from “Fantastic Four” at the end of 2024 did give a sneak peek into Sue’s force field powers, Marvel Studios is keeping tight-lipped about most of her abilities before she officially appears on screen.

I’m thrilled to be part of the exciting cast for Marvel Studios’ “The Fantastic Four: First Steps,” hitting theaters on July 28. As the title suggests, it’s an honor to join esteemed actors like Pedro Pascal, Joseph Quinn, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach. Our task is monumental as we take on Galactus, a menacing force that threatens not just our team, but the very existence of our world. This battle promises to be our toughest challenge yet, and I can’t wait to see how we confront it together.

When Will Sue Storm’s Powers in The Fantastic Four Be Shown?

Approaching the two-month mark before “The Fantastic Four” movie premieres by Marvel Studios, the trailers have skillfully concealed the team’s powers from the audience. When considering the team as a whole, Reed Richards’ abilities were first hinted at only in the second complete trailer. This suggests that Marvel may continue to keep these details under wraps until closer to the film’s full release.

For the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film, there might not be a lot of fresh footage or promotional content from Disney available over the coming weeks.

Disney and Pixar’s upcoming movie, titled Elio, could soon release its final trailer. This film marks Disney’s last theatrical release before The Fantastic Four hits screens. The Fantastic Four is set to debut on June 20, leaving Marvel Studios with roughly a month before they premiere their first collaboration with Marvel’s First Family.

During that period, Marvel might offer several hints about the entire team and their abilities, however, it’s likely that a good portion of details will be kept secret to minimize spoilers for eager MCU fans, as much as possible.
