Donna Kelce Gives Thumbs Up to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Romantic Florida Date!

Donna Kelce could not help but be enchanted by Travis Kelce‘s latest date night with Taylor Swift.

On May 24th, the mother of the Kansas City Chiefs’ star tight end subtly expressed her approval of a couple by liking an Instagram post that showed a picture of them at Harry’s bar and restaurant in West Palm Beach, which was taken the previous evening.

Recently, Donna spent Mother’s Day dining with Travis and Taylor. Joining them were her eldest son, Jason Kelce, along with his wife, Kylie Kelce. On this occasion, they dined together at Talula’s Garden restaurant in Philadelphia over the holiday weekend, as reported by several sources.

Previously, Donna, who frequently attended Chiefs games with Taylor at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium, has openly shown her backing for the famous pop star known as “Karma.

Back in May, the matriarch of the Kelce family liked a fan’s Instagram post featuring pictures of Taylor at the 2014 Met Gala. This Grammy-winning artist and Travis chose not to attend this year’s event, following rumors that they might make their first public appearance as a couple on the red carpet.

This was mentioned by Travis’ mom in her Instagram post dated March 18, highlighting Taylor’s victory for the category of Favorite Surprise Guest due to her onstage appearance alongside the NFL star during an Eras Tour concert in London, June 2024.

 

In November, on the Today show, Donna indirectly expressed her backing for Taylor by donning a charm bracelet that represented the emblem of her Tortured Poets Department album.

Additionally, Taylor Swift’s mother, Andrea Swift, has openly demonstrated her approval of Taylor’s partner. She frequently accompanies Taylor to Travis’ events, where she is often seen donning merchandise emblazoned with phrases like “My Chiefs Era” and “My 87 era.

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s romantic journey started in July 2023, as Taylor’s Eras Tour passed through Kansas City, Missouri, with a performance at Arrowhead Stadium.

Enthusiastic about Taylor Swift, the tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs hoped to present her with a friendship bracelet bearing his number during the show. Yet, unfortunately, he couldn’t manage to do so because of her pre-performance routines.

Travis mentioned during his New Heights podcast episode on July 26 that he felt let down because she doesn’t converse before or after her performances since she needs to preserve her voice for the 44 songs she sings. In other words, he was a bit disappointed that he couldn’t give her one of the bracelets he made for her due to this constraint.

Following his on-stage blunder, which Travis himself referred to as “as cold as steel,” he mustered up the courage to extend an invitation to the Grammy award-winner, asking her to attend the Chiefs’ game at Arrowhead Stadium.

He mentioned on The Pat McAfee Show that he had made an invitation. Specifically, he said, “I’ve given it to you, I’ve tossed the ball into your court,” meaning he has proposed a challenge. He further explained, “I told her, ‘You’ve impressed me with your performances at Arrowhead, now it might be your turn to come see me perform there and determine who’s more electrifying.’ So, we’ll wait and see what transpires in the upcoming days.

Travis had been sporting a mustache since August, as seen during training camp, when he met Taylor for the first time.

In his own words, he later remarked about that period, “For a while, my mustache and number 87 jersey were quite iconic, and I was wearing them when I first encountered Taylor.

According to a reliable source familiar with the matter, by early September, Travis and Taylor had been exchanging texts and phone calls sporadically.

“It’s been very low-key,” the insider explained, “as he’s been in season.”

Following Travis’ invitation, Taylor attended a game with Donna Kelce, the athlete’s mother, at Arrowhead Stadium to watch him play alongside the Chiefs against the Chicago Bears. Post-game, pictures emerged of Taylor and Travis openly displaying affection at a nearby bar.

Initially, it was believed they met for the first time face-to-face, but later on, the “Karma” artist explained that they had already interacted quite a bit prior to their meeting, having spent a substantial period getting acquainted with one another.

As Taylor noted, “We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.” 

To show that things were getting more serious, Taylor took along her group of friends such as Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Sophie Turner, Hugh Jackman, Sabrina Carpenter, and Antoni Porowski to watch the Chiefs battle against the New York Jets at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

It’s possible that Travis is ‘The 1′, as Taylor has been growing closer to Brittany Mahomes – the spouse of Travis’ close friend and fellow football player, Patrick Mahomes, both on and off the NFL field.

On October 14th, the couple unexpectedly debuted their relationship on an episode of Saturday Night Live. This New York City adventure extended to attending the after-party for the TV series and having a romantic evening at the Waverly Inn.

During a free week, Travis went to Argentina to attend the South American leg of Taylor’s Eras Tour. Not only did the football player build a connection with Scott Swift, Taylor’s father, at the concert in Buenos Aires on November 11th, but he also received a special recognition from the stage.

“Karma is that guy on the Chiefs,” Taylor sang, “coming straight home to me.”

Following the performance, I couldn’t help but dash towards Travis backstage for an enthusiastic embrace – a gesture reserved solely for the exceptional Midnights artist.

Taylor addressed the lavender craze surrounding her appearances at Travis’ games.

She informed Time magazine, “I’ll be watching him pursue his passion, we’re there for each other, others are present too, and we don’t mind.” The opposite scenario is that you need to put in a great deal of effort to ensure nobody finds out that you’re seeing someone.

 

On December 17th, the music superstar made Travis’ game a family event by inviting her father to support him.

Taylor and Travis celebrated their very first New Year’s Eve as a couple, exchanging a tender kiss as the clock hit twelve on January 1st.

Taylor spent more quality time with Travis’ kin, specifically his brother Jason Kelce and his sister-in-law Kylie Kelce, during the Chiefs’ matchup against the Buffalo Bills.

On the football field where the Chiefs claimed their AFC Championship win, securing them a place in the 2024 Super Bowl, Taylor linked up with Travis. After this triumphant victory, they shared an emotional kiss and expressed love for each other by saying ‘the L-word’.

On February 11, 2024, in Las Vegas, following Travis’s leading of the Kansas City Chiefs to victory, the couple passionately kissed on the field.

Taylor shared a video of Travis on social media for the very first time on February 12th, playfully jabbing at the fact that she had taken her parents nightclubbing with the athlete following the Super Bowl.

Taylor’s first Instagram post including Travis was a selfie taken with Prince William, Kate Middleton, their eldest children Prince George and Princess Charlotte, during Taylor’s Eras tour concert at Wembley Stadium in London.

At the seventh Eras tour concert he attended, specifically the one held in London’s Wembley Stadium (his second time there), the football player made an appearance on stage to support his girlfriend while she sang “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart”.

Taylor attended the initial game of the 2024-25 season for the Chief’s team alongside Travis. A snapshot published by Chariah Gordon hinted at a recurrence of a public display of affection (PDA) between them, which had occurred in October 2023. They were present at the wedding of Karen Elson, who got married to Lee Foster, the proprietor of Electric Lady Studios, which took place in New York City.

The two stepped out for a double dinner date with Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds in NYC.

Over the final weekend of 2024, they left together for two consecutive outings in New York City. They coordinated their attire on each occasion.
