Kody Brown: The Sister Wives Star Claims He’s the Real Victim in His Family Drama

If Kody Brown’s life was a movie, it would be, he says, Batman Returns.

Contrary to how the citizens of Gotham turned against Batman in the 1992 movie, Kody argues that he was unjustifiably portrayed as the villain in the initial episode of the tell-all special for Sister Wives, rather than being treated fairly.

In simple terms, Kody said during the May 25th show that if you don’t end up as a hero, you live to face the consequences and potentially be seen as the antagonist,” Sukanya Krishnan was told by Kody. He clarified that it’s not about becoming the villain, but rather facing the backlash or being perceived negatively, or ‘villainized’.

Kody, who’s married solely to Robyn Brown at present, suggests that during their separations, his former spouses – Janelle Brown, Christine Brown, and Meri Brown – have portrayed him as a villain. This is because he remains in a relationship with Robyn. The 56-year-old father of 18 children between the four women further notes that his “villainous” portrayal stems from his ability to express himself freely and eloquently.

Kody commented that it’s simple to mock someone who lacks a filter, as he reflected on his past actions during the last season of ‘Sister Wives.’ He added that it can be tough to take responsibility for words spoken in the heat of an emotional moment.

However, not every viewer considered Kody an anti-hero during this season. Later on, Robyn stood up for Kody by drawing parallels between his past relationships with Christine, Janelle, and Meri.

She clarified, “For quite some time, he had been saying that he made significant efforts to elevate other relationships to match our own, which was his ideal. However, he wanted this level of connection with every relationship, but it’s important to remember that a relationship is something unique between the two individuals involved.

Meanwhile, Kody stood by his previous claims that he “never loved” his former wives.

He pointed out that it’s not about changing what happened in the past, but rather understanding his stance during the breakup. In certain instances, he admitted to behaving as if he didn’t love the person. His frame of mind at the time was one of introspection, where he was delving into his feelings and declaring, “I never loved them.” This was due to the circumstances we found ourselves in. He emphasized that a marriage needs tending to.

However, Robyn acknowledges that her relationship with Kody differed from the others, but she believes he harbored genuine affection for Christine, Janelle, and Meri as well.

She suggested that what she was feeling might be influenced by discomfort (pain), bitterness, or anger.

Regardless of his feelings towards his past spouses, Kody refuses to be portrayed as the villain due to his relationship with Robyn. In his own words, “It’s unfair to attribute our deep affection for each other to the way our previous relationships played out.”

There is much intrigue surrounding the lives of the Sister Wives. Continue reading for a comprehensive look into the complexities of the Brown family dynamics…
