To start off, it’s important to note that this tier list primarily reflects the collective opinions of our gaming community and may not perfectly align with absolute accuracy due to differing viewpoints on various spells. Nevertheless, we hope it provides some guidance in helping you select the most effective spells for your gaming experience.
Now, let’s proceed by arranging our list from top to bottom, showcasing the finest items first, followed by those ranked lower.
S Tier
- Gloom Wraith – Very high level summoning spell, but it is incredibly strong because of its spells, such as Silence of the Grave, which is an area of effect silencing effect. Its other spells are also pretty strong in general, making it an easy S tier option.
- Daedroth – Just a fantastic minion to summon overall. It does spend a bit of time buffing itself to start with, but once it gets to mauling your enemies, you are going to have such an easy time clearing content with it on your side.
A Tier
- Clannfear – These things are aggressive and can tear down fragile enemies in no time. They are a nice filler for higher level conjurers, despite their low health pool. Just a good option in general.
- Faded Wraith – Although not amazing by any means, these things can deal a decent amount of damage and have some frost magic if you ever find yourself needing that element.
- Frost Atronach – It has some decent utility, though in terms of damage, it can be a bit of a niche choice that requires a specific build to fully maximize its strengths.
- Storm Atronach – Really strong potential damage, though just like the frost variant, this requires a bit of a specific build to fully maximize its power.
B Tier
- Skeleton – The skeleton is a decent one when you are still pretty low level. While it does not have that much health, it is cheap, attacks decently quickly, and is a great choice if you are being focused more by enemies rather than your minions.
- Ghost – The ghost seems like a bit of a step up over the scamp, which is the only reason it is rated here rather than on the same tier as the former. It is a low level summon that you will likely discard soon enough.
- Skeleton Champion – Although still generally considered to be bad, it is at least somewhat better than its other peers, even if you only use it as a bit of a meat shield… despite not having any actual meat.
- Spider Daedra – It is okay, but a little underwhelming. You can use it as more of a filler summon, but there are definitely better options in this level range.
- Lich – These things have the potential to be amazing, but because of the sheer randomness involved, they can pull off some nasty stinkers and become glorified paperweights sometimes. They do not belong anywhere close to the lowest rating, but they can’t be placed at the top either.
- Xivilai – They are okay. Just like liches, but without the randomness, they are not bad but also not particularly amazing.
- Dremora Lord – Same deal as the two above it. Its effectiveness is pretty inconsistent, but it is far from terrible.
C Tier
- Zombie – The zombie acts more as a filler because you have very limited options at the start. It is not particularly good, especially once you start leveling up your conjuration more, which you should be doing anyway if you somehow stumbled into a tier list like this.
- Scamp – The scamp is in the same boat as the zombie, but it does have the edge in terms of range. If uptime is more of your concern, you will find more value with the zombie over this one.
- Headless Zombie – It is a higher level filler option like its non-headless counterpart, but it does have a leg up over the skeleton guardian due to its much higher damage output.
- Dremora – The regular Dremora does not have particularly good damage, so they are not a great option considering the level you can start using them at.
- Voracious Hunger – For how far you would need to progress to get it, this thing is pretty awful compared to all of the other options you would have by then.
- Flame Atronach – It can be pretty useless due to the AI occasionally going for melee attacks, which it absolutely sucks at.
- Replete Shambles –Another one that is particularly weak considering what level you get it at. Just avoid this one.
- Skeleton Guardian – There are just better options at this level, and its usefulness drops off quickly when you realize how poorly they perform in the damage dealing department.
- Skeleton Hero – Exact same reason as the guardian. For how far you would need to level in order to summon one of these, it does a very disappointing amount of damage and is borderline useless in comparison to anything else in its level range.
