Emmerdale airs sinister new John Sugden twist in ITVX release

This week’s storylines are all centered around John’s wedding day with Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) on Tuesday, 27th May 2025. On that day, John had a vivid imagination where his former partner, Aidan Moore (Geoff Dignan), disrupted the ceremony to publicly accuse John of causing him to fall into a coma.

In truth, John had recently consented to accompany his mother Cathleen (Julia Watson) to visit Aidan at the hospital, and it caught Aaron off guard as he saw them driving off together.

After coming to, Aidan spotted John and right away called out his name, followed by a troubling “No.” This alarmed John.

John requested Cathleen to step aside so he could talk privately with Aidan, and it was evident that Aidan knew more about John’s hidden truths.

John questioned, “What made you feel the need to speak?”, his tone ominous, and soon enough, the situation took a frighteningly dark turn.

However, as Aaron goes to the hospital to locate John, it strikes him that his fiancee might still be in love with Aidan.
