PS Plus Subscription Sale Takes 33% Off, But There’s a Big Catch

During the “Days of Play” sale promotion, Sony has announced that it will offer discounts on its PS Plus subscription service. This means that from May 28th to June 11th, you can purchase any of the three tiers – PS Plus Essential, PS Plus Extra, and PS Plus Premium – at a reduced price of 33% off a 12-month membership.

However, the big catch of previous years has once again appeared.

This offer is exclusive for new PlayStation Plus members and existing subscribers aiming to move up to a more advanced plan. However, if you just wish to prolong your subscription at your current level, there won’t be any discount provided in this case.

During this year’s Days of Play event, you can save up to 33% if you’re new to PlayStation Plus and upgrade to a 12-month membership, or if you’re an existing Essential or Extra member, you’ll receive a 33% discount when you upgrade to the Premium or Deluxe version of PlayStation Plus.

For PS Plus users, it’s been disheartening that only new and upgrading members have access to the sale during Days of Play. This is because in past years, the language has remained the same as stated above, not allowing existing users to take advantage of the lower price when staying at their current tier.
