Next week’s debut of the Nintendo Switch 2 will introduce an exciting new feature exclusively for the latest console: access to classic GameCube games. However, there are also additional features being rolled out for existing Nintendo Switch Online subscribers moving forward, not just those with the next-generation model.
In brief, Nintendo has unveiled a fresh trailer to explain some of the additional perks that Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscribers can enjoy when playing N64 games on their Nintendo Switch 2. To be more specific, subscribers will have the opportunity to rewind their games, adjust controls, and apply a CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) filter for a vintage appearance. Notably, this last feature will also be accessible with GameCube titles. While control customization will be available on the Switch itself, the other novel features are exclusive to Nintendo Switch 2, according to the company.
On June 5th, The Switch 2 makes its debut, and at launch, subscribers can enjoy three GameCube games: “The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker”, “F-Zero GX”, and “Soulcalibur 2”. More titles like “Super Mario Sunshine”, “Pokemon XD: Gale of Darkness”, “Pokemon Colosseum”, “Luigi’s Mansion”, and others will be added over time.
