‘Deadly bouncing ball’ first-person shooter Sydless announced for PC

A French game studio, Opia Games, unveiled Sydless – a high-speed first-person shooter. In this game, you’ll use a lethal bouncing ball as your sole weapon. The game is set to debut on PC via Steam in the year 2026.

Here is an overview of the game, via its Steam page:

Sydless is an adrenaline-fueled first-person shooter that emphasizes speed, skill, and a lethal bouncing ball. The faster you hit it, the swifter it becomes, transforming into a rapid-fire, demolition projectile. This game combines traditional movement-based shooters with an innovative bouncing ball weapon system.

In an unusual predicament, you find yourself as Diego, a worker at Rundy’s Burger, a fast-food joint from the late ’90s. However, there seems to be a glitch. The restaurant is warping and transforming into twisted, distorted versions of its original self.

Manage the pandemonium and evade persistent attacks from customers in the disorienting environment of the restaurant by utilizing your nimbleness and skillful maneuvering. Utilize your unique weapon—a quick-moving bouncing ball that grows stronger with speed—to neutralize them. Master the ball’s movement, strike it effectively, and transform each room into a lethal playground.

Advance by traversing four chapters, each providing additional skills to amplify your capabilities. Each stage offers a grading system that assesses performance based on speed and proficiency.

Progress through every level, testing your abilities to their utmost as you strive to break free from the cycle… if freedom can truly be achieved.
