Additionally starring Jessica Camacho from The Flash and Eric Dane, formerly known as McSteamy on Grey’s Anatomy, Countdown introduces LAPD Detective Mark Meachum (Ackles), who joins a clandestine task force made up of agents from various law enforcement agencies. The mission carries tremendous risk, given that it originates from Derek Haas, co-creator and longtime showrunner of Chicago Fire. If you have an Amazon Prime subscription or not, don’t miss out on the trailer for this thrilling series!
Being a devotee of One Chicago (also known as Derek Haas’ previous TV hangout) and a veteran of fifteen seasons of Supernatural, I was predisposed to appreciate Countdown due to its creators alone. However, the trailer has me even more eager than before, primarily because it reveals some character depth from Jessica Camacho’s role. It appears she could be Jensen Ackles‘ fellow lead or at least a significant supporting character, which I’m thrilled about as it offers a sneak peek into her upcoming contributions to the storyline.
- Timothy Omundson: “DUDE! I AM AAALLL IN for this 🔥🔥🔥”
- Felicia Day: “Badasssasss 🔥”
- Adam Rose: “🔥🔥🔥”
- Daneel Ackles: “🔥🔥🔥”
- Kathryn Newton: “Ur the best”
It seems that Jared Padalecki’s co-stars from “Supernatural” are collectively praising the trailer for his new show, “Countdown,” with Kathryn Newton (who portrayed Claire Novak) offering a direct compliment. Additionally, Danneel Ackles, who appeared in five episodes of “Supernatural” and is also Jared Padalecki’s wife, has shown her approval as well. So, both cast members and significant others are expressing their enthusiasm for the trailer!
Among all the comments, I find Timothy Omundson’s to be my preferred one, not just because his tunes from the short-lived series Galavant often linger in my mind. Instead, he opted for capital letters to express his enthusiasm for Countdown, a stark contrast to how Cain might have behaved on Supernatural.
Even though it seems unlikely that the series “Countdown” will feature Supernatural cast members similar to how The Boys does on Prime Video under creator Eric Kripke, Jared Padalecki has hinted that fans of Dean Winchester might recognize some elements in his new character. Fans can look forward to watching Countdown’s premiere on Wednesday, June 25 on Prime Video. Until then, you could also watch Supernatural streaming with a Netflix subscription, as it offers 327 episodes spread across 15 seasons, which should keep viewers entertained for quite some time!
