The popular action series, “The Terminal List,” is about to expand into a franchise. Approximately two years after announcing a prequel, Amazon Prime Video has revealed the initial glimpse of and the release date for “The Terminal List: Dark Wolf“.
According to the official Twitter account for “The Terminal List,” Amazon Prime Video announced that the initial three episodes of the series “Dark Wolf” will debut on August 27th, with subsequent episodes airing weekly until the season finale on September 24th. A teaser for the premiere has been shared and is available to watch below. In addition, some first-look photos have been released, featuring Taylor Kitsch and Pratt reprising their roles from “The Terminal List” as Ben Edwards and James Reece.
In February 2023, it was revealed that “The Terminal List: Origin of the Dark Wolf” (working title) would be produced, a prequel to the original series set several years prior to the events depicted in The Terminal List. This prequel will delve into the backstory of Ben Edwards, played by Alexander Skarsgård’s character. In January 2024, Chris Pratt confirmed his return as James Reece in a separate project related to the prequel, with filming commencing in March of the same year. The ensemble cast for this prequel includes Tom Hopper, Robert Wisdom, Luke Hemsworth, Dar Salim, Rona-Lee Shimon, Shiraz Tzarfati, and Jared Shaw.
Jack Carr and David DiGilio teamed up to create “Dark Wolf”, where they both serve as executive producers. The primary series was adapted from Carr’s 2018 novel, “The Terminal List”. Meanwhile, DiGilio transformed the novel for television, acting as its head writer or showrunner. He is also in charge of the prequel. Additionally, Kitsch and Pratt have joined as executive producers for “Dark Wolf”.
The Terminal List Is Getting a Second Season
Apart from “Dark Wolf”, Amazon Prime Video has also given a green light to another series, “The Terminal List”, for a second season. Production on this season began recently, approximately three years following the premiere of the initial season in July 2022. A snapshot from the filming site shared by Amazon Prime Video hints that Season 2 will be adapted from the second book in Jack Carr’s “The Terminal List” series, titled “True Believer”, which was originally published in 2019.
For the upcoming series, “True Believer,” Amazon Prime Video hasn’t given a summary as of now. However, the official description reveals that after avenging the deaths of his family and teammates, Reece finds sanctuary in the wilderness of Mozambique with the family of his estranged former SEAL Team comrade. The CIA then discovers his location, offering him a Presidential pardon and immunity for those who assisted him in his vengeful mission, by recruiting him into their operations.
The narrative proceeds, “Now serving as an unwilling instrument of the U.S. administration, Reece journeys across the world, tracking down and eliminating terrorist masters while uncovering a political intrigue that reveals a treacherous CIA operative and unearths a chilling assassination plan with far-reaching consequences.” However, there’s no specified release date for The Terminal List Season 2 as of now.
The Terminal List: Dark Wolf premieres on Prime Video on Aug. 27.
