Through our journey with Luffy and the Straw Hats in the expansive universe of One Piece, moments like the recent God Valley flashback are relatively infrequent within the series. Over time, it has become clear that there is a wealth of undisclosed information about One Piece’s world and history yet to be discovered by fans. The enigmatic God Valley Incident is one such mystery, and in doing so, the latest flashback not only sheds light on Kuma’s past but also provides valuable insights into the series’ history. This includes a legendary battle where the former Pirate King and the Marine Hero united forces.
In Episode 1130 of “One Piece”, fans have long been waiting for a clear view of the God Valley Incident, and finally, it’s unveiled. It turns out that the island was the scene of the ruthless Native Hunting Competition organized by the Celestial Dragons. Ginny is shown to have tricked both the Rocks Pirates and the Roger Pirates into attending as part of an elaborate escape strategy. This episode also offers a fleeting glimpse of the powerful Rocks Pirates in their prime, along with young versions of Roger, Garp, and their respective crews engaging in combat at God Valley. The latest episode only serves to heighten the intrigue surrounding this pivotal historical event.
Roger and Garp Make Their God Valley Debut in One Piece
Until now, the God Valley Incident has been shown to fans only once – it was presented in Episode 958 of One Piece. In this episode, we got a glimpse of the young Garp, who is depicted in recent episodes, and Sengoku shared that it was during this time that Garp earned his renowned title as the Marine Hero. Additionally, Sengoku disclosed the details of the battle at God Valley, where Garp teamed up with Roger to vanquish the formidable Rocks Pirates.
So far in the series, apart from Garp, none of the other characters like Roger and his crew have had their younger versions unveiled, which is why Episode 1130 has fans eagerly anticipating. The anime has done an impressive job with character designs, notably with Roger, who for the first time in One Piece, appears without his iconic mustache. Unfortunately, Episode 1130 does not provide a detailed glimpse of Rocks D. Xebec or the battle between him, Roger, and Garp. However, as One Piece is rapidly approaching its Final Saga, it won’t be long before the series reveals the entire confrontation, and when that happens, it’s certain to live up to fans’ expectations for epicness.
One Piece can be streamed on Crunchyroll and Netflix.
