The Chrisleys are shedding a few happy tears.
One day following the release from prison of Todd and Julie Chrisley, who had been pardoned by former President Donald Trump, their son Chase shared a heartfelt account of their touching reunion.
During a conversation with Entertainment Tonight on May 29th, the 28-year-old stated that both individuals started crying uncontrollably. He added, “My father embraced my mother, and I believe he hasn’t released her since then. I don’t think he ever will.
During the reunion, Todd (who has children Savannah, 27, Grayson, 19, and custody of Chloe, 11, with Julie; Lindsie, 35, and Kyle, 33, from his marriage to Teresa Terry), was not alone in expressing emotions. Other members of the Chrisley Knows Best family also showed their sentimental side during this event.
Chase went on, saying we all embraced one another and shed tears. It was truly a heartwarming scene, undeniably an answer to our prayers. Words can hardly express the immense happiness I experienced.
In his reflection on the significance of the occasion, he mentioned, “It wasn’t until both of them were back home, and I witnessed my mom and dad hugging and embracing each other that it truly sank in.
Furthermore, upon reuniting, Todd and Julie—originally scheduled to serve time until 2032 (Todd) and 2028 (Julie), due to their tax evasion and wire fraud convictions—had the opportunity to witness the changes in each other since they started their prison sentences in 2023. This included Julie’s transformation into a brunette.
Besides her brother Chase Chrisley, who is 28 years old, and her half-brother Kyle Chrisley, aged 33, Savannah also shared joy upon hearing about her parents’ upcoming return home.
Over the last two and a half years, she has tirelessly worked towards securing my parents’ release and reuniting our family, as she expressed in her statement to TopMob News. This long-awaited moment is the answer to many prayers, and I am profoundly thankful to President Trump for recognizing the truth and making this possible for us.
Determined to leverage her family’s prosperity to champion others’ causes, Savannah declared, “Today marks a triumph for us as a family, but the battle against unjust convictions and systemic injustice within our prisons is far from won. I am committed to using my voice and influence to speak up for those who remain voiceless.

Chase expressed, ‘My mom is an angel and she remains stunningly beautiful. Her hair has grown darker over time.’ He continued, ‘Mama, I think we should return to our platinum blonde days,’ to which she responded, ‘No way!’
The reality TV star also echoed his sister Savannah’s comments about Todd’s newly-toned physique.
“My dad is jacked,” he said. “He hit the gym hard.”
Don’t miss out on binge-watching “Chrisley Knows Best” this coming Sunday, June 1st, from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m., exclusively on TopMob. For a more comprehensive understanding, delve deeper into the Chrisley family lineage in the subsequent sections.
Todd Chrisley, hailing from Georgia, serves as the head of the Chrisley clan. Born in April 1969, he grew up in South Carolina. He had his first marriage to Teresa Terry, with whom he welcomed Lindsie Chrisley in 1989 and Kyle Chrisley in 1991. The couple parted ways a few years later. Subsequently, Todd tied the knot with Julie Chrisley (born in January 1973 from South Carolina) in 1996.
Together, they expanded their family through the births of Chase Chrisley, Savannah Chrisley, and Grayson Chrisley, as well as adopting Kyle’s daughter, Chloe Chrisley. Todd shared during the premiere episode of Chrisley Knows Best that he generated 95% of their income through his real estate business before venturing into reality TV. Julie, on the other hand, was employed at a bank when she started dating Todd.
The show Chrisley Knows Best, which aired from 2014 to 2023, documented the highs and lows of their blended family’s life as well as their affluent lifestyle in Atlanta and later Nashville. The series spawned spin-offs like Growing Up Chrisley and What’s Cooking With Julie?, along with other media endeavors, such as the family members’ podcasts.
In 2022, Todd and Julie were found guilty of fraud and tax-related crimes. They were initially sentenced to 12 years for Todd and seven years for Julie (with him serving time in Florida and her in Kentucky). However, they maintained their innocence.
In May 2025, President Donald Trump granted them a pardon, leading to their release from prison.
Lindsie, Todd’s eldest daughter from his marriage to Teresa, was born in September 1989. She studied at Georgia State University and there she met her former husband Will Campbell. They got married in 2012, and by December of the same year, they had a son named Jackson. Two years later, the reality show “Chrisley Knows Best” was launched. Lindsie appeared on the show for five seasons, during which viewers witnessed the strained relationship between Todd and Will. In 2016, she and Will filed for divorce, and she left the show in 2017.
After that, there was a public rift within the family, but they reconciled briefly in 2022 during crossover episodes of their podcasts. However, this reunion didn’t last long as Lindsie stated in March 2025 on her podcast “The Southern Tea” that she hasn’t seen her father for a considerable period. The following month, she confirmed she was also estranged from her siblings.
In an April 2025 episode of Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra’s podcast, “Cate & Ty Break It Down”, Lindsie explained, “We can live in the same space doing the same things and not necessarily agree or align, and it’s no hate, it’s no ill will. We just don’t serve each other in each other’s lives.”
After Todd and Julie were pardoned in May 2025, Lindsie expressed hope on Instagram Stories, “With God all things are possible.
Kyle, born in August 1991, is Todd’s first-born son from his previous marriage to Teresa. In November 2012, he became a father to daughter Chloe, who was born to his ex-partner Angela Johnson. However, in 2016, Chloe was adopted by Todd and his current partner Julie.
Kyle only appeared on the initial season of Chrisley Knows Best (with a brief reappearance in 2021), but news about his past legal issues, strained family relationships (which included periods of estrangement and reconciliation), and personal struggles with addiction continued to circulate. He has been open about his mental health journey and recovery, announcing on Facebook in 2019 that he is sober.
In 2021, Kyle married Ashley Nelson and gained step-parents to her children Haiden and Mackenzie.
Regarding his relationship with Todd and Julie, he expressed optimism about reconnecting with them following their release from prison in May 2025. He shared with TopMob News that “They can’t wait to return home and be with family, and I remain hopeful that another reconciliation is possible.
Todd’s firstborn, Chase, entered their lives in June 1996, joining the family with wife Julie. Apart from appearing on Chrisley Knows Best alongside his parents and siblings, he co-starred with his sister Savannah on Growing Up Chrisley from 2019 to 2022.
Chase was previously in a relationship with Emmy Medders, but they split and reconciled before officially parting ways in 2023. Later that year, he started dating Jodi Laine Fournerat. Their relationship is often documented on his Instagram, along with photos of him and grandmother Nanny Faye Chrisley.
Following his parents’ incarceration, Chase spoke about the siblings’ unity. In an interview with Extra in 2023, he shared, “We’ve definitely grown closer. When you encounter something like this, I feel people either drift apart or stick together. We chose to stick together and we’re still standing strong.”
Chase faced legal troubles himself in January 2025, when he was arrested in Atlanta on a simple battery charge for allegedly getting “very drunk” and slapping a bar manager after being asked to leave, according to police records obtained by TopMob News. His lawyers stated that the incident had been exaggerated.
“He did not assault anyone,” they said. “Chase was trying to settle his bill and leave. We will be conducting an independent investigation into the matter.”
Apart from his reality TV appearances, Chase is also a businessman, having launched a candle brand and roofing company.
In August 1997, Todd and his partner Julie became parents to their daughter named Savannah.
Savannah started her career in the pageant world, winning Miss Tennessee Teen USA in 2016 and competing for the Miss Teen USA title. Following this, she appeared on various reality and competition shows such as Chrisley Knows Best, Growing Up Chrisley, The Masked Singer, Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test. She is also a real estate agent in Tennessee, the founder of Good Girl RX, and host of the podcast Unlocked.
In her personal life, Savannah got engaged to hockey player Nic Kerdiles in 2019 but broke up the following year, and he tragically died in a motorcycle accident in 2023. Later, she dated Robert Shiver; however, they split in April 2025 after around two years together.
During the time when her parents, Julie and Todd, were imprisoned, Savannah took care of her siblings Grayson and Chloe and advocated for their release.
At the 2024 Republican National Convention, she emotionally stated, “72600019 and 72601019 are not just numbers to me; they’re my whole heart. These numbers represent my parents’ identification numbers in our federal prison system.”
Following Trump’s pardon, Julie and Todd were released from prison, and Savannah shared videos of their homecoming, including one with the caption “Reunited and it feels so good.
Grayson is the youngest child of Todd and Julie, having been born in May 2006. He became well-known when the show “Chrisley Knows Best” debuted eight years later. Currently, he’s a student at the University of Alabama, and his popularity on campus is evident.
During an episode of Savannah’s podcast “Unlocked” in February 2025, Grayson described the attention as “crazy.” He added that it was more than he had ever experienced before.
Following the imprisonment of Julie and Todd, custody of Grayson and his sister Chloe was granted to Savannah. In a post on Instagram in July 2023, she expressed her role as their guardian: “I’m not their mom or dad. I’m their sister, and I get to love and guide them through life.” She continued, acknowledging the challenges of being a ‘bonus parent.’
Savannah’s relationship with Grayson deepened over time. In a post for his 18th birthday in May 2024, she wrote on Instagram: “Many people assume that I rescued him, but the truth is… HE saved ME.
Todd and Julie became Chloe’s grandparents when his son Kyle had a child with Angela Johnson in November 2012, which they later adopted four years later. In February 2018, Julie expressed her love for Chloe on Instagram, calling her a source of immense joy to their family.
Fans followed Todd and Julie raising Chloe, affectionately known as CoCo by the family, on the reality show Chrisley Knows Best. However, after the couple went to prison, Savannah took over as her guardian. On Chloe’s 11th birthday in November 2023, Savannah posted a heartfelt message on Instagram about how watching Chloe grow has been the greatest blessing of her life and how she wishes to emulate her personality.
After Trump announced his pardon for Todd and Julie, Savannah shared Chloe’s reaction during an episode of News Nation in May 2025. She stated that Chloe was still in shock and hesitant to get her hopes up due to fear of something bad happening, but she herself was excited to bring Todd home to Chloe.
Faye Chrisley, affectionately known as “Nanny”, is Todd’s mother. In a heartfelt Instagram post for Mother’s Day in 2021, Todd expressed his deep love for her, saying she fills his heart with love, hope, faith, and confidence.
Born in September 1944, Nanny spent her childhood in South Carolina. She married army veteran Gene Chrisley, and together they had three sons: Todd, Randy, and Derrick (who unfortunately passed away as a baby). Tragically, Gene also passed away in 2012.
On the show Chrisley Knows Best, Nanny touched viewers with her wit, fun times with sister Frances (who passed away in 2022), dating escapades, and wise advice. Whether she was enjoying a night out at the casino, sipping wine, or spending time with family, Nanny showed that she knows how to have a good time.
However, Nanny has faced hardships as well. In addition to Todd and Julie’s legal troubles, Nanny was diagnosed with bladder cancer in 2021. Yet, by 2023, she shared that she had conquered her health battle.
On an episode of Lindsie’s podcast The Southern Tea, as reported by People, Nanny declared, “I’m in remission, thank God.” In difficult moments, she has always chosen to pick herself up, brush off the setbacks, and keep going.
As she once said on Savannah’s podcast Unlocked, “The world doesn’t always deal you a good hand, so you play with what you have the best you can.” Nanny has consistently shown resilience in the face of adversity.
