EastEnders Star Joins Emmerdale: Meet Ray, the Charming Villain with a Dark Secret!

This coming summer, an acquaintance is expected to become part of the Emmerdale series – it has been verified that Joe Absolon will be a fresh member on the ITV soap opera.

Known for his past performances as Al Large in Doc Martin and Matthew Rose in EastEnders, Absolom has more recently taken on the role of Braden Moore in Code of Silence.

In a forthcoming role, a 46-year-old actor will portray Ray, an acquaintance of the Mackenzies who has a captivating personality but conceals a multi-layered character with a dangerous edge and a shrouded history.

The recently arrived, composed individual might show up at the farm, asserting he’s there to sell farming equipment. However, as time goes on, it becomes evident that his true intentions are anything but benign.

Emmerdale producer Laura Shaw revealed the show’s excitement at adding Absolom to the cast.

I can hardly contain my excitement about this incredible addition to our team! A truly gifted performer, he’ll be bringing Ray to life in a way that will surely leave us all spellbound.

Ray, being both captivating and easy to adore, presents a deceptively simple exterior. However, beneath this facade, he swiftly reveals his sinister and malevolent nature to some of our beloved village residents, leaving them in no mistake about his true capabilities.

Absolom can’t wait to dive deep into the new role and discover what adventures the Dale’s world holds for him.
