EastEnders’ Colin Salmon Sparks Trouble for George and Cindy

Next week on EastEnders, George and Elaine Knight are heading for a predicament in their supposedly idyllic life. This comes about when George secretly assists Cindy, which is against his wife’s knowledge.

Given Elaine’s concerns about George’s feelings for Cindy, it’s not a good impression, particularly following his response upon discovering their affair on Christmas Day.

In the upcoming episode, hinted at by spoilers, George extends a hand to Cindy for her scheme to win over the family, yet it’s evident that Elaine (Harriet Thorpe) harbors feelings of envy towards George’s assistance.

George’s partnership with Cindy remains a topic of discussion, as it was evident at the unveiling of The Albert, when Elaine discovered that Cindy had disclosed George’s assistance and financial contributions towards hiring extra personnel.

Indeed, Elaine was enraged and made a public display before heading to the liquor store, where George attempted to calm her down, yet she refused to listen. Later, George went back to The Albert to celebrate and offer an apology for Elaine’s actions, but is he walking on thin ice?

Towards the end of last year, Elaine and George finally got married following several months of preparation and ups-and-downs. However, their road to marriage wasn’t smooth as Elaine set a trap to test George’s sincerity by involving Cindy in it.

She added: “She’s strikingly attractive, almost like a professional model, and Elaine is more of a pantomime character, which can sometimes make one question their relationship. I believe that, as an observer, you notice the dilemma George faces: he has this charming woman living nearby, but he spends time with Elaine in the pub, sharing laughter.

However, the decision ultimately lies with you. What truly endures and matters becomes clearer as you grow older, around 35 years, I suppose (smiles). At this stage, you start recognizing what you don’t desire in life, and instead, seek a companion who will be reliable rather than someone who represents an idealistic fairy tale image.
