Bambi: The Reckoning Trailer Teases Bloody Revenge and a Monster Team-Up

*Bambi: The Reckoning*: In this new horror tale, Bambi faces a reckoning as he confronts his past and the darkness within Deerwood Forest. Fans can look forward to the release of this intriguing film in the near future.

A changed deer causes fear among a woodland family, leading authorities to deploy a team of professional trackers tasked with capturing the ferocious beast believed to be thirsting for blood.

In contrast to Disney’s gentle portrayal of the character from Felix Salten’s novel, “Bambi, a Life in the Woods” (1923), Jagged Edge Productions and ITN Studios have reimagined Bambi with a more aggressive edge, similar to the Milwaukee Bucks’ slogan, “Fear the Deer.” Since the release of the first trailer for “Bambi: The Reckoning” in March, subsequent footage has intensified the depiction of a darker and bloodthirsty side to Bambi.

Actress Roxanne McKee from “Game of Thrones” will be among those squaring off against the malevolent, vengeful Bambi in an upcoming film. Also joining the cast are Nicola Wright, known for her roles in “Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey,” “Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2,” and “Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare,” as well as Tom Mulheron, a rising star from the medical drama series “Casualty.” For those who find The Twisted Childhood Universe to be increasingly peculiar, prepare yourself for an unexpected cinematic collaboration – an Avengers-style team-up. Surprisingly, this is in the works.

The Poohniverse Is Going Where No Horror Film Has Gone Before

Over the summer, dear Bambi is set to be a part of the growing Twisted Childhood Universe, a collection that currently includes three chilling horror films featuring characters from Disney movies, such as Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey, its sequel, Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare, but whose rights have entered public domain. Bambi’s upcoming movie, entitled Bambi: The Reckoning, is just the next phase in the expansion of this universe, as it plans to bring together a team of villainous characters reminiscent of Marvel’s Avengers. Scott Chambers, CEO of Jagged Edge Productions, commented on this gruesome cinematic partnership, according to Variety:

For enthusiasts of horror, there’s a tantalizing concept: an Avengers team composed entirely of villains! Picture Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, Michael Myers from Halloween, Ghostface from Scream, and more. Regrettably, such a movie will likely never come to fruition in the mainstream world. However, we can still bring it to life through our collective imagination, and that’s exactly what inspired the creation of this film.

It’s more akin to the monster mash-ups seen in films like “Destroy All Monsters” (1968) or “Godzilla: Final Wars” (2004), where a diverse array of good and evil creatures fought each other. In March, it was disclosed who would be participating in “Poohniverse: Monsters Unite”, and here’s the lineup that might give you chills:

‘Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble’s Characters

  • Winne-the-Pooh
  • Tigger
  • Piglet
  • Peter Pan
  • Bambi
  • Tinkerbell
  • Pinocchio

  • Sleeping Beauty
