Sauron’s Bromance Could Bring Back a Cut Lord of the Rings Character

In the upcoming third season of “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power,” Sauron seems primed for another heartwarming friendship, leading me to ponder if this might bring back a character previously trimmed by Peter Jackson. Last season, Celebrimbor was subtly influenced by the Prime Video version of Sauron, and the two collaborated on creating the Rings of Power. This entailed Sauron using excessive flattery on the elf blacksmith, making him feel valued and unique. Enthralled by this interaction in “The Rings of Power” season 2, Celebrimbor failed to recognize that he was being deceived until it was too late.

As a die-hard fan eagerly anticipating the third season of “The Rings of Power,” I can’t help but feel a chill down my spine as Sauron prepares to target his next unsuspecting victim. The poor elf, Celebrimbor, served his purpose only too well, and in a chilling display of power, Sauron ended their alliance with a gruesome act – slowly impaling the elf to death. With Eregion lying in ruins after Sauron’s departure, it seems that our malevolent nemesis has already moved on.

Now, whispers hint at Numenor as his potential next target. You see, Numenor is an island kingdom that left quite an impression on Sauron during season 1 of “The Rings of Power.” With a wealth of Men from this very island, Sauron may find the perfect replacements for the void left by Celebrimbor. But what will he do next? Only time will tell as we journey into the enchanting yet dangerous world of Middle-earth once more.

Kemen May Be Sauron’s Next Subject Of Manipulation In Rings Of Power Season 3

Kemen & Sauron Can Be Season 3’s Big Bromance

In the second season of “The Rings of Power”, Sauron revealed his plan to bestow nine rings of immense power upon some fortunate Men. Notably, he mentioned Numenor, implying that this island may be Sauron’s next destination in season 3. Given the current political climate of this kingdom, they could potentially be easy prey for the Dark Lord to deceive. Much like Celebrimbor, the citizens of Numenor are known for their pride and ambition, making them susceptible to Sauron’s manipulation. Among these individuals, Kemen, the son of Pharazon, seems to be a prime candidate for Sauron’s initial target.

According to Tolkien lore, it seems that Sauron intends to exploit Pharazon’s actions against the powerful Valar of Valinor, implying a potentially complex dynamic between them. While Kemen may prove beneficial to Sauron in other ways, Pharazon harbors little regard for his son and, as hinted in “Rings of Power” season 2, Kemen’s late mother foresaw a troubling destiny for him. It is evident that whatever this entails will undoubtedly involve the malevolent force of Dark Lord Sauron.

Initially, it might seem plausible that Kemen is destined to possess one of Sauron’s Nine Rings, given his royal status. Yet, Kemen is unlike the Ringwraiths from ‘The Lord of the Rings’, being cowardly and slippery rather than fearsome and powerful. This leads me to ponder whether Sauron and Kemen’s alliance could transform the Numenorean into a character type more common in traditional Lord of the Rings lore.

Kemen Could Become The Lord Of The Rings’ Mouth Of Sauron

Sauron & Kemen Could Make It To The Fourth Age

In J.R.R. Tolkien’s epic, “The Lord of the Rings,” a character named The Mouth of Sauron serves as Sauron’s messenger. Originally a man, he had lost his own identity over time. During “Return of the King,” this malevolent figure communicated with Gandalf and Aragorn on behalf of Sauron, presenting his demands. In Peter Jackson’s movie adaptation, The Mouth of Sauron was initially featured but was eventually removed from the theatrical version of “Return of the King.” Now, the upcoming Amazon series, “The Rings of Power,” might reintroduce this character to the screen.

In the lore of Middle-earth, The Mouth of Sauron is often depicted as a Black Numenorean who took residence there and devoted himself to the service of Sauron. At the end of season 2 in The Rings of Power, Kemen was seen establishing a camp within Middle-earth. If Sauron were to move towards this area and attempt to sway Kemen, it’s possible that we may witness Kemen gradually succumbing to the Dark Lord’s power. This development seems quite likely. As for season 3 of The Rings of Power, it appears that Kemen is poised to become Sauron’s next pawn. Whether he will eventually become The Mouth of Sauron remains uncertain, but such a twist would undeniably make for an engaging storyline.
