Here’s a fun fact: This grand finale will be unveiled in three captivating stages! Starting off, volume one – a quartet of enthralling episodes – is set to make its debut on November 26, which happens to be the day before Thanksgiving. So, gather your loved ones around for a double dose of entertainment and holiday cheer!

The news broke during Netflix Tudum 2025: The Live Event held at the iconic Kia Forum in Los Angeles and was also shared via a YouTube video on May 31. Mark your calendars, folks – we’re about to embark on an unforgettable journey together!

In simple terms, starting December 25th (which is Christmas Day), we’ll have the third set of episodes from volume two of season five for the show “Stranger Things”. The final episode of this series is scheduled to air a week later on New Year’s Day, 2025.

Three long years have passed since the fourth season of my beloved show ended in 2022, but finally, the day of its return is upon us! In a tantalizing teaser released last November, Netflix confirmed that season five will unfold in the autumn of 1987 – a full year after Eleven’s supposed disappearance. I can hardly contain my excitement!

The creators, known as the Duffer Brothers (Ross Duffer and Matt Duffer), have given a peek into the process behind making the last part of the series.

Ross mentioned at the Netflix Next event in January, as reported by The Hollywood Reporter, that they filmed the entire season for a full year. By the end of production, they had gathered more than 650 hours of footage. Therefore, this season is their largest and most daring project to date. It’s almost like eight blockbuster films, which is quite astonishing.

In February, Millie Bobby Brown confided in TopMob News about the difficulty of parting ways after spending so much time on the show. She expressed that it was particularly distressing on the final day, as she had to bid farewell to her cherished crew members, beloved cast, and favorite directors she’s ever collaborated with.

She continued, “What a wonderful, wonderful production that I was able to be a part of.”

In an identical yet effortless fashion, Finn Wolfhard, his co-star, expressed his sorrow over the show’s conclusion on Instagram in December. His post read, “We have wrapped up Stranger Things Season 5. I’m still reeling. We filmed it for a year and I will deeply miss all my friends and our characters.

Additionally, Finn posted some nostalgic photos featuring his co-stars such as Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Joe Keery, and Natalia Dyer.

In reference to the show, he described a mental image of the initial photograph, taken during its early days. “A group of quirky, inexperienced individuals crafting what they believe is trendy, yet are unaware of the future developments,” he penned. “It feels as if we’re still those people, and I consider myself fortunate to continue standing by their side today.

Later on, he playfully hinted at the upcoming delights for fans, saying, “I truly believe you’ll enjoy this season just as much as I do. Until next year!
