As a Minecraft enthusiast, I’m thrilled to share that Mojang and Microsoft have begun unveiling details about the upcoming expansion for our beloved game, codenamed “Chase the Skies.” This update promises significant overhauls, and one of the most exciting additions is a new flying mount – the delightful Happy Ghast!
Unlike its grumpy counterpart, the Happy Ghast brings a smile to the skies. With this friendly Ghast by your side, you’ll be able to traverse the game world in an entirely new way. However, unlocking this charming companion will require some effort on your part.
As per Mojang’s latest announcement, the process to acquire the contented Ghast involves an initial journey to the Nether realm. Once there, adventurers can locate and collect a novel block called the Dried Ghast. After the update is released, players will be able to find these Dried Ghasts near fossils, though alternative methods for obtaining them will also be available. Players can either craft Dried Ghasts using Ghast Tears and a Soul Sand Block, or they can trade with some Piglins. Upon returning to the Overworld, players must rehydrate their new companion by placing it in water. As it soaks, its happiness levels will increase, eventually transforming it into a Ghastling. The final step is to feed it an abundance of snowballs, which will ultimately result in its transformation into a cheerful Ghast.
Apart from the anticipated modifications in the Chase the Skies game update, Minecraft is introducing a couple of exciting features. For instance, players will now benefit from a new player locator bar, making it simpler to find friends who may have gone missing during gameplay. However, for those who enjoy getting lost, the crouch function ensures you stay hidden from the radar.
Another intriguing addition is the “leash” system, which allows players to attach almost anything to anything. Crafting Leads will now be more straightforward with this update, as they only require String. This feature can be used to tether mobs or animals together, but please note that it does not apply to other players.
Lastly, developers have made adjustments to Saddles. Players can now craft them using 3 Leather and 1 Iron Ingot. Starting with this update, Saddles can also be removed using Shears. Enjoy these new additions in the upcoming game drop!
The recent significant alterations concerning Minecraft’s Soar the Skies game are about to hit the audio and visual aspects in an upcoming update. This update introduces a fresh Music Disc that can be looted from Ghasts. Additionally, five new music tracks composed by Amos Roddy will be incorporated into specific Overworld biomes. Moreover, Mojang has disclosed more information regarding Minecraft’s eagerly anticipated Vibrant Visuals update, which is scheduled to arrive on Bedrock Edition for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Android, iOS, and PC platforms. However, the plan is also to implement the Vibrant Visuals update in Java Edition at a later stage.
Today, Mojang and Microsoft shared a wealth of information about Minecraft’s future, but there are still many aspects left unclear. Specifically, Soar the Skies doesn’t have a confirmed release date yet, and it remains uncertain if the Vibrant Visuals update will be released on the same day. Additionally, players are eagerly waiting to hear if Minecraft will receive this visual upgrade on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2. Let’s hope that we’ll learn more about these questions and others in the near future.
