In the early 2020s, the Japanese edition of “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Globe-Trotter Travel Guidebook” was published. Fans have been eagerly anticipating the English version, but its release has been repeatedly delayed, leaving JoJo fans with another year to traverse the globe alongside the Joestars.
JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure Travel Guidebook Delayed Once More
The JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Globe-Trotter Travel Guidebook was debuted in Japan in July 2022, but English-speaking fans have not had the chance to read it yet due to a delay in localization. This guidebook, released as part of the franchise’s 35th anniversary celebration, delves into the real-life locations depicted in the story, such as the United Kingdom, Italy, Japan, Egypt, Singapore and others. Interviews with the author, Akiyo Yura, also provide insights on how her own travels inspired the narrative. In Japan, this guidebook helped boost sales of similar publications during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, English readers who wish to embark on their own journey inspired by the book must wait longer for its translated edition to become available.
Initially scheduled for release in Summer 2025, Viz Media announced plans to publish an English version of the “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Globe-Trotter Travel Guidebook” back in October 2024. However, this date has been pushed back twice – first to March 10, 2026, and most recently to April 27, 2027. The reason for these delays remains unknown, despite the obvious enthusiasm from fans. It’s possible that the anime adaptation of the series might be completed by the time the book is released, but this could also generate more excitement and boost sales.
