How to get more grails – Elden Ring Nightreign

At the onset of Elden Ring Nightreign, your inventory will consist solely of urns for storing relics. Over time, you may decide to purchase a goblet. As you progress, you’ll likely find yourself wanting more goblets, as each new one offers a unique blend of relics you can equip. Here’s how to acquire additional goblets so you can create various character builds:

1. Defeat bosses: Many bosses in the game drop special items, including grails.
2. Explore the world: Grails are often hidden in out-of-the-way locations or found in chests and containers throughout the world.
3. Trade with NPC merchants: Some merchants will trade rare items like grails for other valuable resources you may have gathered during your journey.
4. Complete quests: Certain questlines involve acquiring a grail as part of the reward.
5. Random encounters: Occasionally, you might come across an NPC who is willing to sell or trade a grail for something you possess.

How to get more grails

In Elden Ring Nightreign, each of the sacred cups bears a unique name. The one you initially possess is an urn, followed by the Small Jar Merchant’s collection of goblets. Later on, you’ll acquire a chalice and a grail as well. Each of these items can only be obtained after reaching certain milestones in the game.

  • Urn: Automatically unlocked for each character
  • Goblet: Purchased from the Small Jar Merchant after beating Tricephalos
  • Chalice: Complete specific steps in each Nightfarer’s Remembrance
  • Spirit Shelter Grail: Defeat four bosses and then the Jar sells it
  • Giant’s Cradle Grail: Defeat seven bosses and then the Jar sells it
  • Sacred Erdtree Grail: Defeat eight bosses and then the Jar sells it

Every Nightfarer’s urn, cup, and chalice display unique combinations of relic colors. For instance, the Wylder’s Cup might contain one yellow and two green relics, whereas the Executor’s Cup could hold one red, blue, and green relic.

Each Nightfarer receives a single set containing the Spirit Shelter, Giant’s Cradle, and Sacred Erdtree Grail from the Small Jar Merchant. Notably, these Grails allow you to equip up to three of the same color. This means that once purchased, there is no need for further acquisition.

  • Spirit Shelter Grail: Three green relics
  • Giant’s Cradle Grail: Three blue relics
  • Sacred Erdtree Grail: Three yellow relics

Currently, it’s uncertain if there exists an extra chalice that accommodates three red relics. However, once you’ve unlocked all grails, each Nightfarer will possess six distinct relics to utilize in construction. For the time being, focus on amassing more relics and selling the ones you don’t prefer. For additional details, visit our Elden Ring Nightreign page.
