Summer Game Fest Hype Trailer Teases June 6th Showcase

Once more, we arrive at the season where significant publishing companies unite for a week or so, filled with major announcements. Contrary to the annual E3 event, it’s the informal Summer of Gaming that takes center stage, with the Summer Game Fest showcase starting on June 6th at 2 PM Pacific Time.

Geoff Keighley, both host and producer, has shared a trailer that echoes the tune “ZEN” by Jennie Kim of Blackpink. This preview showcases various well-known games such as Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Split Fiction, South of Midnight, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, DOOM: The Dark Ages, and more. What sets this apart is the sneak peek at upcoming games.

At the event, there’s a strong focus on “Death Stranding 2: On the Shore” since director Hideo Kojima is expected to appear, possibly unveiling the final trailer. Meanwhile, whispers about a surprise release for “ARC Raiders” circulate alongside the announcement of a demo for “Hell is Us”, which will be available later today. Additionally, you might notice “Directive 8020”, “Marathon”, “Mafia: The Old Country”, “Mixtape”, “Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds”, and “Lies of P: Overture”.

Absolutely, it’s not certain that all these titles will be showcased or have official announcements made about them. However, with approximately 60 companies already announced as collaborators, it looks like a significant gathering is on the horizon. Keep an eye out for further developments until then.
