1000-lb. Sisters’ Tammy Slaton Shares Fears of Skin Removal Surgery

Tammy Slaton is gearing up for another massive transformation.

Following persistent postponements of her surgical procedure for removing excess skin, the star of “1000-lb. Sisters” was ultimately given the go-ahead, but along with this positive development, she harbors a few apprehensions regarding her future physique.

Tammy expresses, in TopMob News’ exclusive clip from the June 3 episode of the TLC series, ‘The pain and fear, mainly about how I’ll appear once I see myself afterwards.’ She’s so accustomed to seeing excess weight on her arms, but when she wakes up on Sundays or Saturdays from now on, she won’t have that anymore.

The 38-year-old goes on to say, “I will appear somewhat regular from the neck down. It’s both frightening and gratifying.

In her own journey of losing 500 pounds, which she’s shared on the TV show and her social media platforms, Tammy anticipates that even simple tasks like bathing will appear dramatically altered for her as well.

As I prepare for surgery, I can’t help but wonder how I’ll adjust when I awaken and see myself post-operation. Even something as routine as showering will be significantly altered, as I’ll no longer need to reach up under there with my hand, delving into areas that are now deep and unfamiliar. In just a few days, those areas will no longer be part of me, and I can only imagine the changes that will bring.

Although she learned in a December episode that her surgery would be postponed because of her vaping habit, the reality TV star was already focusing on the potential benefits that the future elimination of her extra skin could bring.

At that moment, Tammy expressed her desire for improved mobility without toppling over. She finds it challenging to walk due to her current condition, describing herself as waddling like a penguin, with her stomach swaying one way while she moves another.

Later on, she expressed her enthusiasm by saying, “I’ve been eagerly anticipating the news that I can have my skin removal procedure for quite some time now. Once I undergo this transformation, I will essentially be reborn as a completely new individual – an improved version of myself. With these changes, I aim to pursue a career in modeling and strut down the catwalk.
