Get ready to bid adieu to Downton Abbey, as a heartfelt send-off is hinted at in the initial teaser for the upcoming movie.

The Grand Finale presents a trailer where a title card is shown saying “It’s time to part ways,” followed by Hugh Bonneville’s character, the Earl of Grantham, gently tapping the front of his manor house on the Grantham Estate.

Though the movie’s storyline isn’t fully disclosed yet, the trailer provides glimpses into its content, featuring Dominic West as Guy Dexter in a West End setting and Michelle Dockery adorned in an extravagant dress as Lady Mary.

In memory of the late Dame Maggie Smith, a heartfelt homage is displayed, featuring a photograph of her iconic character, the Dowager Countess, tastefully adorned on the walls.

In March, a poster featuring the third Downton Abbey movie emerged, depicting Michelle Dockery reprising her role as Lady Mary, resplendent in the red dress hinted at in the film’s trailer.

Joining Bonneville, West, and Dockery for the third episode are Elizabeth McGovern, Michelle Dockery, Laura Carmichael, Jim Carter, Phyllis Logan, Robert James-Collier, Joanne Froggatt, Allen Leech, Penelope Wilton, and Lesley Nicol.
